InHello Kitty Island Adventure, there are many biomes, and as you complete quests and earn upgrades for your friends, you can easily access these areas. The main region of the game, Friendship Island, is made up of several islands, and the new areas to explore are actually these islands themselves.
However, aside from the islands, Friendship Island also has some fascinating areas, one of which is Rainbow Reef. While there doesn’t seem to be much above water, the underwater area is quite vibrant, and there are also some puzzle rooms here. In this guide, we’ve compiled the locations of these puzzle rooms and how to solve them.
How To Find Every Rainbow Reef Puzzle Room
There are a total of five puzzle rooms in Rainbow Reef. Since the puzzle rooms are located underwater, you will need tocraft a snorkelto access them. Also, since the entrances to the puzzle rooms are usually deep underwater, you will either need extra stamina or towear the mermaid costume setyou obtained during the Comic Relief quest.
Sunken Solutions Puzzle Room Solution
How To Find Sunken Solutions Puzzle Room
This puzzle room is located in Rainbow Reef,marked on your map as a sunken pirate ship.If you’re doing the ‘Comic Relief’ quest, one of the blue crystals is also found in this puzzle room. Swim north of the Cozy Islands fast travel point to reach the pirate ship’s location. Once there, dive underwater.
How To Solve Sunken Solutions Puzzle Room
Enter through the white entrancesouth of the pirate ship, and you’ll reach the puzzle room. In the far-right part of the ship’s bow, you’ll find a wooden chest containing a Pirate Hat. If you’ve already collected the blue power crystal, there’s nothing else to do here.
To obtain the blue power crystal,activate the red blocksouth of the ship or the red block on top of the hill to the north of the ship. These blocks will release air currents. By using the air currents and your balloons, you canascend and fly toward the ship’s mast, where you may collect the power crystal.
Maze Craze Puzzle Room Solution
How To Find Maze Craze Puzzle Room
This puzzle room is located underwater, immediately to theright of the Kelp Maze fast travel pointin Rainbow Reef. Alternatively, you can swim southeast from the dock south of Gemstone Mountain to find it.
Additionally, to unlock the entrance to this puzzle room, you need to complete the Nature Preserve quest andobtain the Bog Star Fragment.
How To Solve Maze Craze Puzzle Room
The objective of this puzzle room is to reach the end of the maze:
Enter the maze, move straight north, climb the stairs, turn right, and open the wooden chest to find a Hello Kitty Mirror inside.
Telltale Totems Puzzle Room Solution
How To Find Telltale Totems Puzzle Room
To find this puzzle room,start at the center of Resort Plaza, where you first landed when you started in the game. Then, head north andfollow the wooden plank path.When you reach the bridge,turn left and swim along the shallow waters, staying close to the island.
As you approach the underwater rock arch (be sure to look carefully so you don’t miss it), dive down. Between the two rock arches, you’ll find the entrance to this puzzle room.
To unlock the door,you’ll need the Rainbow Reef Star Fragment, which you can obtain by completing theReef Revival quest.
How To Solve Telltale Totems Puzzle Room
Once inside, you’ll encounter a puzzle involving buttons and golden cubes. The solution is quite simple—around the buttons, you’llsee three different direction signboards with symbols.You need to place the golden cubeson the buttons that match the signboards in their corresponding rows.Simply follow the table below to place the cubes correctly:

After placing the cubes on the correct buttons, the puzzle room door will open, granting access to the chest inside. Inside the chest, you’ll find a Pirate Chest Dresser waiting for you.
Counters Cove Puzzle Room Solution
How To Find Counters Cove Puzzle Room
To reach this puzzle room,start from the Sunken Ship fast travel point and swim northeast.Alternatively, you can begin at the southern dock of Gemstone Mountain, head left past the chest, and dive into the water near the large rocks to find the entrance.
To unlock this puzzle room,you’ll need the Gemstone Mountain Star Fragment,which you may obtain by completing the Revive The Oasis quest.
How To Solve Counters Cove Puzzle Room
Once inside, look at the symbols on the wall in front of you:
Walk around the central stone tower, and you’ll see sign mechanisms with buttons in front of them. Each mechanism has a row of three circular symbols, with one on the left, two in the middle, and three on the right.
Your goal is to rotate the signs by pressing the buttons; so that thenumber of glowing symbols on the wall matches the position of the symbols on the sign:
Press the corresponding buttons until the correct symbol on each sign is facing you. Once done,the door above the climbable wall will open, granting access to the chest, which contains a Pirate Barrel Side Table.
Lofty Logistics Puzzle Room Solution
How To Find Lofty Logistics Puzzle Room
To find this Puzzle Room,head right from the Cozy Islands fast travel point and dive into the water; you’ll find the entrance to this puzzle room just under the island without needing to swim far.
To open the door of this puzzle room,you will need the Mount Hothead Star Fragment, which you can get by completing the Fire Up The Volcano quest.
How To Solve Lofty Logistics Puzzle Room
After entering the room, you will find two red cubes that are accessible, and a green cube above that is out of reach. you’re able to grab one of the red cubes, but the other cannot be moved.Activate the immovable red cubeto make air flow out of it. Then, using the portable red cube,place it at the edge of the ledge above the stairson your left and activate it.
Use the air flow from the red cubes topress the yellow button located above to the north.This will open the door, allowing you to fly through and access the chest. Inside the chest, you will find the Pirate Standing Lamp.
