As you explore the mysterious island inHello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll need to find a variety of different items to progress through the game. You’ll use them to craft items, complete quests, gift them as items, or unlock new things on the island, like the Zipline travel system.

Plenty of them, like Sticks and Pineapples, can be found regularly just by exploring one of their home regions, but some are a bit too special. To get yourself certain important items like the Light Stone, you’ll need to get cozy with a certain horror-loving rabbit who lives in the Spooky Swamp.

How To Get Light Stones

To get Light Stones for your crafting needs, you’ll need toopen the locked gatethat leads to theSpooky Swampby finding thethree Yellow Power Starsthat power the doors.

When you’re in Spooky Swamp, head toward themiddle of the regionandfind Kuromi. If it’s yourfirst time meeting her, you’ll need tospeak with her north of the Nature Preserve, then follow her to her usual spot, but if not, begingifting Kuromi things she likes and loves.

Kuromi is afan of one of the most common items found in the swamp, Pumpkins, and around eight of them can be found in the gardens in the center of the graveyard.

Each time you gift Kuromisomething she likes, you’llreceive one to six Light Stones, depending onhow many heartsthe item is worth. Since you cangive three gifts per day, you can getupwards of six per dayon average just bygiving her one-heart items.

The Light Stones you get from here will beused to craft a variety of important items, most notably theNet for catching Crittersand theSparks needed to power the Ziplinesandcraft the Snorkel.

Sometimes you’llneed them as an exchange currencyfor furniture from the Spooky Set inMy Melody’sshop, clothes fromTuxedosam’sshop, and ahandful of event recipes.

One of theeasiest items to give Kuromi for lots of Light Stones and for raising her friendship is the Jack-o-Lantern, which is crafted from five Pumpkins once you find its recipe in a chest in the Spooky Swamp.
