The Guild is probably one of the many interesting factions and questlines that you will encounter during your time playingKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, especially after you reach Kuttenberg. Henry will be curious about it and try to join them, but it’s not as easy as it seems. The leader, Chenyek, will try and test you with some questions before approving your membership.
Once you’re in, expect to be doing a lot of quests for both Chenyek and the Guild members. These quests are usually interesting and can reward Henry with some valuable items. Among the multiple quests you may encounter from the Guild is the Thieves’ Code quest.
How To Start The Thieves’ Code Quest
After you complete the first Guild quest calleda Feast for the Poor, make your way toChenyek at his usual location,Hole in the Wall Tavern, just southeast of Kuttenberg.
Chenyek can be found sitting at his favorite spotnear the skeleton. Interact with him and ask ifhe has more work for you.
He will say yes and ask you to learn about some strange symbols during certain hours in the city. This is when theThieves’ Code quest begins.
How To Find The Old Thieves’ Hideout
As per usual,Knuckles, the noisy character that he is,wants to learn about this himself, so speak to him. He can be found atthe entrance of the tavern.
For now, it doesn’t matter which dialogue option you choose, as you will only want tomake a real decision about it during the end of the quest.
Knuckles will direct you toHynek’s house, which islocated just north of the city. Make your way there and go inside. You will findHynek’s corpse with Hog standing next to it.
You can speak to him to learn about what happened, but most importantly, you need toloot Hynek’s corpse in order to retrieve Hynek’s letter.
Once you get it,go to your inventory and read it. This will be a riddle that supposedly directs you to the old thieves’ hideout.
Don’t forget to speak to Hog again after learning about the riddle.
Now, in order to find the old thieves’ hideout, you need tomake your way to the Fountain, which is located just west of the city. In front of it,there will be a trader’s shop.
Behind it, there will be a path, soyou can either go there and try to be sneaky or circle around the building. There you will finda locked door that will lead you to the basement.
Lockpick it and then go down the stairs,turn left, and there will be another door.
Inside that room, you should seea chest that you may lockpick in order to retrieve theParchment With Drawings.Pick it up and then go to your inventory andread it.
How To Complete The Thieves’ Code Quest
After you learn about the symbols, now is the real choice you may make: either go let Chenyek know about itorlet Knuckles copy them.
