Skethermoor is one of the most dangerous areas to explore inAtomfall. It’s positively crawling with aggressive swarms, trigger-happy soldiers, and combat robots that can take you out with a single burst of fire. However, if you’re careful, you can find the Windfall Shipment, a rumored piece of high-tech gear that was confiscated by the Protocol.

The soldiers did a good job of covering their tracks, and you’ll need to comb every inch of Skethermoor to find their hidden bunkers. The reward is worth it, though, as Windfall lets you get the Signal Redirector without having to storm the prison.

How To Start The Windfall Shipment Investigation

Before going to Skethermoor,stop by the Grendel’s Head Pubin Wyndham Village. The owner, Alf, runs a smuggling operation to get contraband supplies to the people of the Quarantine Zone. Tell him that you want to help the villagers, and he’llask you to collect messages from his contacts on Skethermoor.

One of these contacts isNora Thorndike, who lives in a barn at41.2E, 78.3N.Tell her Alf sent you and collect her message, then ask her about getting BARD tech in the area. She’ll tell you about two possible locations of a Signal Redirector; Skethermoor Prison, anda rumored smuggler shipment.The shipment is your first lead for finding Windfall.

How To Get Windfall’s Key

Go west from Nora’s Barn until you reach Brinsop Manor, thengo southto the road blockade.Be careful not to get too close to the military checkpoint on the far side of the road, or the alarms will go off, and the soldiers will attack.

Search the abandoned carsuntil you find a letter indicating thatthe Windfall Shipmentwas taken to a bunker nearby. It’s to the north, at38.0E, 77.4N.If you’ve already completedThe Little Tea RoomInvestigation, then you know where it is.

Be ready for combat before entering the bunker; the soldiers inside respawn, even if you’ve already cleared them once before.

How To Find The BARD Safe Room Key

Take a right upon entering the bunker, and you’ll find alocked doorleading to a secure safehouse. Across the hall from the door,look for vents in the wallthat you can climb into. These lead to a hidden compartment, withpipes that you can squeeze through.

Past the pipes, you’ll find theBARD Safe Room Key.Use it to unlock the door and collect the supplies that were reserved for the top scientsts.

Where Is Windfall’s Key?

Look immediately to the left upon entering the Safe Room; you’ll see another vent. Crawl through, thenimmediately look at the ground.The body of the scientist code-named Windfall is there, along with thekeycard that opens the shipment crate.Search the room to find a letter revealing that the crate was seized by Protocol and taken to theField Stationelsewhere on Skethermoor.

Where Is The Field Station?

The Field Station can be tough to find, since it’s asingle entrance inside Protocol territory.It’s located at41.3E, 74.9N,between the Ruined Hamlet and the Crop Fields. The area is patrolled by several squads of soldiers and at least one robot, and the entrance always has a sentry posted, so expect trouble getting in.

The soldiers inside the Field Station all have quality weapons, and many have armor as well. Make sure you have ammo, bandages, and grenades ready for your raid.

Once you’re inside, getting to the Signal Redirector is fairly simple;just turn left, then left again.The locked crate at the back of the room can be opened with Windfall’s Keycard, and you’re able to then use the Signal Redirector that you find inside toransack the bunker’s armoryfor upgraded guns before making your escape.
