As you explore different areas inAvowed, it’ll be common to see various chests, some in hidden areas while others lying in the open. These chests will also have different rarities, which are symbolized by the color of light coming out of them. Regardless of their rarity, you might find some chests that are locked.
Most of these locked chests can only be opened by usinglockpicks, but there are a few that require a specific key. As you progress into further areas, you’ll start finding a lot more locked chests, and it’s important to stack up on lockpicks for them.
Where To Find Lockpicks
Thankfully, there are quite a few ways to get your hands on lockpicks and stack up on them in your inventory. You won’t find a lot of these early on,but if you’re searching the right places, you’ll never run outof them. Here are some of the best ways to get lockpicks in Avowed:
Lockpicks don’t have any weight in your inventory, so you should take them whenever you find sinceyou wouldn’t want to encounter a chest and not have enough picksfor it.
How To Use Lockpicks
The two main places where you’ll need lockpick are specific chests and locked doors around the map. You’ll only have the option to open most chests with lockpicks, but for most locked doors,you’ll also get an option to get a specific key. These keys usually aren’t too difficult to find.
It’s recommended to get the keys whenever you have the option and only use lockpicks in the scenarios where you don’t. If you’re using lockpicks to open a locked door,make sure to explore around and see that there’s no other way to enter.
