Two Point Museumhas a wide assortment of quirky characters who will come to see the Exhibits that you have on display. From flamboyantly-dressed enthusiasts to actual aliens from outer space, nothing is too strange. There’s one guest type in particular, though, that requires a lot of extra work if you want them to come and visit; the Cave People.

Cave People are hard to come by in 2025, so if you want them to buy a ticket and see what your museum has to offer, you’ll have to get creative, and bring them from the distant past.

How To Get The Time Portal

To get Cave People as guests, the first thing you’ll need is aTime Portal. There are two locations where you can find these;Spoony Dunesin the Bone Belt, andAlternate Yesterdayin the Netherworld. Of the two, Spoony Dunes is much easier to reach and is less dangerous.

It also gives you a chance of gettingLone Henge, which synergizes well with some of the later Expeditions you’ll be going on in your quest for Cave People.

Spoony Dunes Expeditions

In the Spoony Dunes, you need to bringtwo Prehistory Experts.Try to have theircombined level total ten or higherto negate most of the dangerous Events and give you a chance at a better-quality find. You should alsopay attention to which season you depart, assandstorms and heatwavesat additional dangers.

A First Aid Kit can neutralize the heatwave, but if the helicopter gets caught in a sandstorm you’ll have to pay to repair it before it will fly again.

Alternate Yesterday Expeditions

Alternate Yesterday requiresone Supernatural Expertand One Security Guard.Unless your Expert isat least Rank 20, you won’t be able to counter all the events, so bring someone whoat least has two levels ineither Survival Skills or Analysisto counter either Ectoplasm or the Spectral Rift.

The Security Guard should have one level inCamera Room trainingfor a chance at an XP bonus. Whatever you do,don’t go during Nightmare Season, as there’s a chance your explorers will be permanently devoured by the horrors of the Netherworld.

How To Activate The Time Portal

Once you have a Time Portal placed in your museum, you’ll needseveral Space Exhibitsthat can only be retrieved byventuring into the Known Universe. In the story campaign, you’ll need to progress thePebberley Heightsmuseum far enough that you can reachthe Space Gibbon homeworldsin order to get everything required.

Specifically, activating the Time Portal requires the following:

You can send the same Space Expert to each location in turn until you have everything you need; if they’re a new hire,go in the order shown aboveto help them level up. Make sure that they have thePilot Wingsskill to avoid damage to the helicopter, and if they aren’t a high enough level to counteract Meteormites (4 in Two Point Orbit, 6 on The Moon), send them with an Illness Elixir to keep the contagious disease from coming back to Earth with them.

If you get a Triangle Cell, you can use it to activate Lone Henge, signaling to alien species that your museum is open for business; they’ll start turning up at the Ticket Booth as long as the Henge remains active. This is how to get alien visitors on maps other than Pebberley Heights.

Once you have all the parts, place them together with the Time Portalso that they’re all within range of one another. The Cells will activate the Blending Gears, which will work with one of the Circle Cells to activate the Time Portal. If you’ve done it right, the Portal willstart glowing purple. As long as it stays active, the Time Portal willspawn a Cave Person visitorperiodically.

Cave People still have to buy a ticket before they can start going to Exhibits, so tryputting a Ticket Booth near the Time Portal.

Making Cave People With The DNA Designer

You can also use the DNA Designer to transform existing guests into Cave People. They’re functionally identical to those that come through the Time Portal, butthe game won’t count them toward your Sticker Book total, since it tracks them when they buy their ticket.

Cave People As Guests

Cave People leave reviews based on theiroverall Happiness, so make sure that they have ready access toCafeterias, Bathrooms, Benches, and other comforts. Knowledge doesn’t do much for them (they haven’t yet learned to read modern languages, though the pictures on Info Stands mean Knowledge isn’t completely useless), so Buzz is the next-most important trait for them. Theyget additional Buzz from Prehistory Exhibits, which remind them of home.

Non-Cave People get Buzz for seeing living Cave People walking around the museum, making them beneficial to have as guests.

It’s unclear where Cave People get modern money, but Cave People prefer to buyposters and plushiesin the Gift Shop. Oddly, when their visit ends, theyleave by the normal museum exitinstead of returning to their own time through the Portal. A Cave Person that seesfive or more complete Dinosaur Skeletonsby the time they leave will have their Dream Visit requirement fulfilled, leaving a great review and donating heavily.
