In the distant past ofLuma Island, the druids and ancient civilizations who lived on the titular island used magic to create and build across the island, often with the help of the magical creatures known as Luma. In the present, the druids, people, and Lumas are little more than myth.
Only the Talking Stones, who recorded the history of the island, truly know what happened, but despite the passage of time, there are still remnants of magic around. Everything on the island holds a bit of that ancient life in them in the form of Spirits, and you’ll need plenty.
How To Get Every Type Of Spirit
Spirits are akey resourceused inseveral crafting recipes, and you canfind five typesof them: Water Spirit, Rock Spirit, Lost Spirit, Nature Spirit, and Earth Spirit.
They’re used tocreate the Luma Lifesneeded whenhatching a Luma, and toupgrade your toolsso you can better explore the island, andeach Spirittype has aparticular way of getting them.
How To Obtain
Water Spirit
SearchingTreasure Piles, catching Critters, fishing up anyfish or sea creatures from a fishing spot, orgathering aquatic plantsfrom around any body of water.
Rock Spirit
Breakingany type of rock, ore vein, or gem clusterwith a pickaxe in any location.
Lost Spirit
Defeating enemiessuch as Bats and Spiders, breaking vases and crates, andopening chests inside templesin any location.
Nature Spirit
Chopping down any type of tree, bush, or grass,picking mushrooms and flowersin any location, and openingchests your Luma digs up.
Earth Spirit
Planting and harvestingplayer-grown cropslike Strawberries and Apples in tilled earth.
Themajority of the spirits are easy to obtain,since no matterwhat Profession you pick, you’llneed to chop down trees and mine oreso you can craft different items, but Water and Earth Spirits might be your least obtained if you didn’t go for the Fisher, Brewer, or Cook professions.
Several quests also reward you with set amounts of all five spirits for completing them, such as the quest series torepair the Pet Store, and the ones given to you by the Mayor torepair certain areas of the town.
Fortunately, youaren’t required to upgrade every tool or learn every Professionto beat the game; the only onesrequired are the Pickaxe and the Axe,so you canobtain late-game materialslike Moonstone Ore to unlock required locations.
