While much of your time inSniper Elite: Resistanceis going to be spent putting Nazis down into the big dirt nap, sometimes you are there to put them into a lighter kind of sleep. There are a few different ways to accomplish this, and you (usually) reap larger rewards for it.

There are seven different ribbons you can earn for doing this, all found in the non-lethal ribbon section. Some of these are fairly easy to get accidentally, while others might take some specific tactics in mind to grab. Either way, if you’re looking to earn every ribbon the game has to offer, you’ll need to be familiar with them.

Concussion Conductor

This ribbon is going to takea bit of preparation when building your loadout, as well as some work once you’re actually in-mission.

Schu-Mines must be selected when preparing for the missionin one of your item slots. They can be found around the mission area, but it’s an inconsistent way to obtain them, and they’re a bit more rare than other items you’re going to find.

Once you’ve got the Schu-Mines, your best bet is going to be placing them in a hallway, or some kind of narrow path. That way, enemies aren’t going to accidentally walk right past it without detonating it.

You’ll either want toplace them in an enemy patrol route, or somehowdraw their attentionfrom a directionwhere they’ll need to pass the mineto investigate. You need three of these, so you’re going to have to be consistent in using them effectively to get the ribbon.

Marked Mastermind

This one is not all that difficult with some self-restraint.With your binoculars, there are plenty of areas across each mission where you can spot nearly 20 enemies from one location. Take your time to spot as many as you can, andproceed through the mission as non-lethally as you possibly can.

Doing this is going to eitherrequire stealth, or alarge supply of non-lethal ammo. Getting spotted is going to make it astronomically more difficult to keep from killing enemies, so staying undetected is going to make this much easier.

For that reason, using as much suppression as possible can make this ribbon quite a bit easier.

Stunner

Stunner is going to require a combination of preparation beforehand and precision.

You’re going to need tobring along non-lethal ammofor this one. While this can be brought on nearly every weapon in the game, it’s going to make things a lot easier tobring this on a sniper rifle, preferably one that equipped to have alow audible range.

Get into one of those spots whereyou’ve got a great line of sight, and start lining up heads. For bonus points, set up a web of Schu-Mines before you get started, and enemies that hear your shots and push you might walk right into them, grabbing you a Concussion Conductor ribbon for your trouble.

Ignition Inhibitor

This ribbon is quite a bit different from many of the others, and doesn’t necessarily relate to dealing with Nazis specifically at all. Instead, you’ll need toget up close to vehicles, parked or otherwise.

You’ll need toget yourself right next to the engineof the vehicle, and have enough time to interact with it. It’ll help if you’ve cleared the immediate area of Nazis, but it isn’t mandatory.

You can also do this less quietly byshooting the engine of the vehicle.Going into Focus modewill highlight the weak points of the vehicle in red, and there will always be one near the engine.

Pushed far enough, the engine will explode, killing nearby enemies. Happily, as long as you’ve disabled the engine first, this won’t count against the ribbon.

Conscientious Affecter

This ribbon can go directly hand-in-hand with the Stunner ribbon; in fact, you can earn both of them at exactly the same time, without any extra effort.

Bring along non-lethal ammo, andget into a good sniping position. This is going to be an easy way to get both non-lethal headshots and non-lethal knock-outs, killing (non-lethally) two birds with one stone.

But, youdon’t have to aim at the head for this ribbon. If you’re just concerned with getting this ribbon alone, you can aim for the torso, and finish it with an SMG fairly easily.

Pugilist

This is likelythe most difficult of the non-lethal ribbons to obtain, because it requires you getting right on top of enemies without being spotted.

On the bright side, thisdoes not require any specific setupwhen it comes to your loadout; you only need your bare hands.

But, you’re going to need to have agood idea of enemy patrol paths, what targets are worth pursuing, and what targets are better off left alone or dealt with another way.

Yeet Street

This is not a particularly difficult ribbon to grab, considering that you can pull this off with one of the most abundant items in your loadout, and on the map:bottles.

You’ll start with three bottles in your inventory at the start of the mission, and there are usuallybottles scattered throughout the mapto pick up, too. Ideally, you should focus on similar targets for this ribbon as Pugilist: lonely ones. This will often require throwing two bottles, so either doing so quickly, or from cover, is going to keep the enemy from opening fire and giving away your position.

This is easier to accomplish when an enemy is walking directly away from you, compared to an enemy walking horizontally to you.

Use Non-Lethal Ammo Wisely

Many of these ribbons require using non-lethal ammo, or at least are markedly easier for using it. But, it’s not as if you can bring an overabundance of non-lethal ammo with you into the fray. You can bring around one magazine of it for every weapon that you bring, but you’ll get through that quickly if you’re using it constantly.

One thing to keep an eye on areammo containers throughout the map. Most missions have one or two supplies of non-lethal ammo sitting around, and that extra bit can go a long way in helping you reach one more ribbon.

You shouldbe much more careful with each shotwhen it comes to non-lethal ammo. Every other ammo type in the game is going to kill a target, making non-lethal in a category of its own. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. You won’t be able to complete certain ribbons until you’re in another mission, so make sureeach shot counts.
