In most medieval games, you’d see clothing items like shoes and gloves being a part of the armor that gives you damage reduction and other effects. It works a little differently forAvowedas the only armor you get is the chest pieces scattered around the world, and the other two pieces mentioned are just considered clothing.
While these clothing items don’t provide you any damage reduction for the most part, they can still give you unique buffs much like other accessories you can have. Thankfully, you have quite a lot of unique clothing to choose from and get the best stats for your build.
This article is a work-in-progress and we’ll add more weapons as we find them within the game.
All Unique Shoes Locations
There are two slots for clothing items on your character, andyou can equip one set of shoes on one of these. Here are all your choices:
You can easily find Arcanist’s Boots item inside a golden chest at the very top of the lighthouseto the west of Claviger’s Landing.
It increases your health restoration while alsogiving you extra movement speed.
Steel Garrote Boots can be found in the Dawnshore Xaurip Camp on the western edge just below Seaside Cavern.Get to the top of this camp,and you’ll find them on a Steel Garrote’s body.
These boots increase your carry capacity by five andgive you one level of Constitutionas long as they’re equipped.
Wayfarer’s Boots can be found once you cross over to the eastern side of Dawnshore after finishing the Strangleroot part. To get this, jump into the water from the bottom left side of Fellowship Harbor and enter the hole in the wall. Here,you’re able to shoot the room with a golden chest to open the door, with the boots in this chest.
These boots can increase yourresistance to Poison and Bleed accumulationwhile also regenerating your health while walking.
Boots of the Bricklayer can be found in the Pargrun Cache of Dawnshore as youenter the main building at the topafter breaking some explosive barrels.
They increase your dodge distance while alsogiving your carry capacity a small boost.
Blackwing Boots can be bought from the merchant on thetop left side of Northern Paradisfor 1,500 currency.
You can gain extra dodge distance and alevel on Dexterity with this.
To get Vailian Boots, you have to go up north to the river beside Moldering Godless Ruins where you’ll see a platform in the middle of the river.Open the golden chest on this platformto get the boots.
These give you a small carry capacity boostalongside a level on Dexterityandincreased dodge distance.
To get Warmage’s Boots, you’ll have to go through the entire Riverside Cave near the boots above andyou’ll find it in a golden chest at the very end.
They provide you some extra essence with a ten percent chance ofrestoring some essence when you dodge.
The Wolf Boots can be found in the Moldering Godless Ruins to the north of Emerald Stairs by defeating all the enemies there and looting Amadio’s body.
The boots increase your dodge distance while alsogiving you an extra Constitution level.
You can find Death Knight Sabatons inside the Waterfall Cave to the left of Fior Mes Iverno by going up a few rocks andbreaking the wall with the explosive barrel.
It can increase your maximum health while also providing somepoison and bleed accumulation resistance.
Shoes of the Glimmering Merchant can be found by exiting Fior Mes Iverno from the north and then going right until you find a hidden door up a few sets of stairs. You’ll see a switch to activate this door on the leftwith these boots inside.
These shoes can give you a massivetwo levels on Intellect and one on Perception.
To get Eothasian Boots, move directly east from the beacon at the entrance of Fior Mes Iverno. You’ll find a smallbrown spot on the map a bit later with a golden lockboxfor these boots.
These canincrease your maximum staminawhilegiving you a free level of Resolve.
Wavebinder boots can be found in a small cave to the northeast of the Sulfur Mines Basecamp. You canfind it on a soldier’s body hidden within this cave.
The boots increase your maximum essence and lets you take smaller hit reactions.
Thirdborn Boots can bebought from the entrance merchant at Thirdbornin Shatterscarp for 3,750 currency.
These boots provide you with somemaximum health, carry capacity, and movement speed.
If you have 3,750 currency in your pocket, you canhead over to Cinziaand buy Sojourner Boots.
This increases both yourmaximum stamina and health restorationfrom all sources.
All Unique Gloves Locations
Getting the right gloves for your character is important not only because of the stats they provide, but also because of how they make your character look since you canequip a certain gloves for their stat and Transmogrify anotherto be visible on your character.
Wayfarer’s Gloves are likely the first unique item you’ll encounter in Avowed, and it can befound in Lynna’s shop by going into the trade screenfor 600 currency.
It deals extra Fire damage to the enemies when you hit them with a power attack.
Blackwing Gloves can be found on top of the Aedyran Embassy where you can climb from the path to the left side of the building. You’llhave to go here to investigate in the main storyas well.
This is one of the best early-game clothing pieces as it gives you aone and ten percent critical rate and damage boostrespectively.
Arcanist’s Gloves can be acquired by visiting the Shrine of Woedica in northern Dawnshore andbreaking a wall on the right side of the building. You’ll find a golden chest inside with this item.
These gloves can increase yourmaximum essence and parkour speed.
Steel Garrote Gauntlets is an open item that can be found on the bottom right side of Paradis,right beside where Underbelly is written on the map, except outside the city. You’ll have to break a webbed wall to get this.
These gloves increase yourparry efficiency and maximum stamina.
Warmage’s Bracers can bebought from the shop of Ector Brewerin Fior Mes Iverno for 1,500 currency.
These gloves decrease your essence cost for abilities while giving asignificant boost to your shock damage.
Wolf Gloves can be found in the Naku Tedek Grounds by heading to the south edge where you’ll find a ton of Xaurips. After defeating the enemies,enter the small hut to find a golden chestwith this item.
This item increases your critical chance by one percent while alsogiving you an extra level on Dexterity.
Eothasian Gauntlets can be found on the northeastern edge of Emerald Stairs by entering the Abandoned Home. You have to break a wall with your abilities to enter here.
These gloves can increase your parry efficiency anddamage with maces and two-handed hammers.
The Death Knight Gloves can only be acquired right before you’re about to enter Shatterscape from Emerald Stairs bytaking a fight with Captain Aelfyr and defeating her.
These gloves canincrease your frost damagewhile reducing the stamina while blocking.
Xaurip Paws can be found in the Leviathan’s Hollow area of Shatterscarp found in the northwestern region. You have to go through this entire area and then enter a hidden passageto get the golden chest containing this.
These paws can increase your stun damage while also letting youdeal bonus fire damage for unarmed hits.
The Wavebinder Bracers can be bought from the first trader at the entrance of Thirdbornin Shatterscarp for 3,750 currency.
This one gives you lower essence cost for abilities andincreased reload speed.
The Thirdborn Gloves can bebought from Cinzia in Thirdbornfor 3,750 currency.
They give you a simple boost to your damage whileadding two levels to your Might.
Skald’s Gauntlets can be found inside ahidden room of the Pargrun Cache in Shatterscarpwhere you also find the Pargrun Ornate Key.
This one can increase your power attack damage while you also dealmore damage with great swords, great hammers, and great axes.
Trickster’s Gloves are one of the best clothing pieces in Avowed, and you can find themat the bottom of the Sand Sea Oasis area.
It gives you one percent critical hit chance with amassive 25 percent Critical damage.
