What Is Oricalite Used For?
Despite Oricalcite, and its weaker versions, being acquired from Azuz, its use has nothing to do with the region. In fact, unless you choose to invest in Artian weapons, it doesn’t have much of a purpose at all.Artian weapons are upgraded differently than regular equipment, using their own unique materials.
Oricalcite is the most valuable material you can use in upgrading Artian weapons. Beyond this, there is no use for Oricalcite, so you can choose to ignore it if you’d rather not use Artian weapons at all.
Due to the relative rarity of Oricalcite, when you dismantle an Artian weapon,all of the materials you used to upgrade it are returnedto you to put into other weapons.
How To Get Oricalcite
There arefour different materialsthat can be used in upgrading Artian weapons, and they are all acquired in a similar process. Here is each of them, and the point value they are worth in upgrading Artian weapons.
Oricalcite is of course the rarest of these, though they all have the same use. In terms of acquiring these items, there are three methods. The first is through the Firespring festival. Every time the Firespring transitions to the Plenty in the Oilwell Basin, Azuz will peform their festival and offer up the remnants to you.These can be acquired in Azuz or through Nata. The materials you are given is random, however.
The second method is through forging them. You canspeak with the characters at the Smelting Foundry to smelt ore, where you can offer up monster materials to turn them into any of the four ores you want. The point value to create them is the same as what they offer when used to upgrade Artian weapons.
The final method is simply trading. Sometimes, traders in Azuz will have Oricalcite available to trade, as well asGawdygog in the Wudwud Hideout. These tend to offer very low amount however, so it really is much more worth it to craft them manually instead.
