While the main story ofHonkai: Star Railreveals a bunch of lore, it also works towards teaching you how the mechanics in each new area work. This is done by throwing a series of puzzles at you, but you get a bit of help with the main story puzzles in the form of a special marker for your next destination.
This process remains the same as you go through the Strife Ruins Castrum Kremnos area to reach the Strife Titan. You’ll have to solve a bunch of puzzles involving the Hands of Zagreus and ball-holder statues.
How To Get Past The First Room
As you enter the Strife Ruins area, simply head down the set of stairs anddefeat a few enemies to reach the first puzzle location. After entering a big room, you’ll have to use Oronyx’s prayer to repair the bridge on your right first. However, this bridge will fall again after you cross it once, but you can repair it from either side.
you’re able to then continue through the path and repair another broken bridge to get to the mechanism on the other side. Interact with this mechanism andthen go through the same bridge again without repairing it. You’ll then be able to exit this room and head to the next one.
In the next bit, you’ll get separated from Mydei as you and Phainongo along the other path and competewith the former.
Continuefollowing the path and defeating enemiesuntil you reach the next puzzle room.
You’ll also encounter a Prophecy Tablet on the way here. To solve this, simply put thetwo triangles on the edge to cover the side bits and then the square in the middle. Cross the bridge and interact with a few items in the next room to get to the next puzzle part.
How To Solve The Ball-Holder Statue Puzzles
As you enter the first ball-holder puzzle room of this area, you’ll first have tointeract with a pedestal with a blue orb up the stairsand then you’ll be able to rewind the ball blocking your path fully. Continue to the next room and keep following the yellow mark until you reach an area where you’ll fight a bunch of enemies.
After this fight, you’ll have to solve another Prophecy Tablet. For this one, put the two bigger triangles at the bottom part of the figure in a way where they go inside each other in the lower area.you’re able to then fill the top part with the two smaller triangles facing away from eachother and solve the puzzle.
If you may’t solve the Prophecy Tablet puzzles for some time,the game will give you a hintinvolving the location of one shape.
Once you solve the Prophecy Tablet, you’ll enter the room with the main puzzle. Start byheading to the left side and rewinding the broken pillar to its position. Keep going to the other side of the room and climb the open side of the stairs. Here, you’ll be able to get another blue orb, which you can then use to fully rewind the ball at the bottom.
You can then climb the other side of the stairsall the way up and remove the ball from the statue here. This will let you out of the room. Before proceeding, you can go to the stairs to your left and release the ball up there to open a second exit, where you’ll find a chest with a bunch of rewards.
From here, keep following the path until you reach the next room with thenext set of puzzles involving the Hands of Zagreus.
How To Get Past The Last Rooms In Strife Ruins
After a few dialogues, you’ll enter the first room with the Hand of Zagreus puzzle. Here, yousimply have to control the hand and make a bridge in the gap. You can then press disengage and cross this bridge. To get to the exit of this room, you’ll first have to release the ball on the statue on the right path.
This will let you get to the mechanism being blocked by a few crates, which will remove the balls blocking the exit. You canthen make your way back and exit this room to the next part. Here, you’ll meet up with Mydei and engage in a long set of dialogues before entering the final puzzle room before the Strife Titan.
This would be the time you’d want to prepare yourself for battle since youwouldn’t want to have an inefficient teamagainst the Titan.
In the next room, head to the path on the right andfirst use the hand to make a bridge in the gap on your path. Before doing this, you’ll also have to pick up the cube in your way and put it on the blue structures above the stairs. Continue through the path while talking to the Titankin on the way. These enemies won’t attack you, but you can still get rid of them if you’d like.
You’ll have to make a bridge with the Hand of Zagreus one more time and then you’ll reach the final battle. Defeat the Strife Titan to continue the storyon to the next quest.
