With the Rockagong situation in Strahta resolved, things inTales Of Graces F Remasteredhave gone back to normal… slightly. There’s still a whole host of evolving issues going on in the world, but at least the Rockagong is back to its usual peaceful self and free to roam about the deserts of Strahta.

You aren’t done with it yet, though. A certain researcher from Zahvert has a presentation about the Rockagong due sooner rather than later, and he hasn’t got any physical items to show his fellow scientists. He can’t get anything himself, but maybe Asbel and his friends can help him out.

How To Get Rockagong Fur

This side-quest becomes available once you’rein the chapter, The Infiltration Of Fendel, and you’ve reached theFendel Highlands area, right after Fendel Mountain Pass.

As soon as you’re there, you canspeak with a Researcherwho’ll ask if you canget them some Rockagong Fur, so you’ll need tohead back to Strahta, specifically theStrahta Desert (East) area.

When you’re there,head north from the central partwith the Desert Cottage and theTurtlez Transport Vendoruntil you reach a new area,Strahta Desert Cliffs.

Go to the edge anduse Checkto see two options:Summon the RockagongorChallenge the Rockagong.

Summoning the Rockagong will bring you back to Inside The Rockagong, where you can explore that area again and find the new Golden Smile discovery in the southwestern corner of it.

The Rockagong is a special fight, and at the point in the game where you get this quest, it’ll befar too strong for youto actually fight, and asingle attack will one-shot even tankier characterslike Sophie and Asbel.

Your only option will be tosteal the Rockagong Fur, and you’llneed Sophie or Asbelto do this.

How To Unlock Stealing Items From Enemies

First, you’ll need Sophie to havelearned her A-Arte, Eagle Dive, from a Title like Amnesiac or Initiate Of The Fist, which she’ll likely have already unlocked, andfor Asbel, he’ll need to havelearned Wolfwind Fangfrom Aspiring Knight,Arte Apprentice, orInitiate of the Sword.

Next, you’ll need toget one of the Adept titles for Eagle Dive or Wolfwind Fangby using that A-Arteat least 100 times in battle, either manually or having Sophie or Asbel use them automatically if they aren’t your active character.

You canmodify their Strategy to incentivize them AI into using Eagle Dive and Wolfwing Fang more; set Balance to A Heavy, Style to Offensive, and Defend to Rarely.

Equip either applicable Adept Titleas soon as it’s unlocked, andlearn Eagle Dive or Wolfwind from the first level. This unlocks the A-Arte’sability to steal items from enemies, including the Rockagong, and it’s thequickest way to give it this attribute.

You canattempt to steal the Rockagong Furfrom the Rockagong now, but you canfurther increase your oddsof getting it bylearning Elegant Flash with Sophie,getting itsElegant Flash Adept Title, and learningElegant Flash from its first level.

This will also give Elegant Flash thechance to steal items, giving youthree chances to get the Furduring the battle.

How To Steal The Rockagong Fur

When you’re ready, save at thesave point in Strahta Desert (East) or the one Inside The Rockagong, then head toStrahta Desert Cliffs, and make sureSophie is the leader ofyour party. Use the flute tochallenge the Rockagong, and as soon as the battle starts,wait near the edge with Sophie.

You’ll have towait for the Rockagong’s head to be lower to the groundor else your attacks won’t properly connect to it.

Let the Rockagongswipe and kill whoever tries to approach it first, then run forward with Sophie or Asbel. Startalternating betweenEagle Dive and Elegant Flash only, or just useWolfwind Fang as Asbel.

Whoever’s still surviving can support you and heal if needed, and you’ll want toconserve your CCso you canuse those attacks as much as possiblebefore its next attack.

Keep this up until yousteal the Rockagong Fur from it, redoing the process as needed in case one or both of them get killed, or you don’t get it soon enough. Once you’ve got it,run to the edge of the battle arena until you escape.

Equip a title you want to master or that needs a lot of SP to level up before completing the Rockagong Fur requestto make the best of the SP Bonus you get.

Head back to Zahvert andgo to the Zahvert Inn near the entrance of the city, and speak to theperson at the desk on the left, with a yellow sign with areversed crescent moon on it.

Check the Requestsand at the bottom of the list, you’ll seeone for the Rockagong Fur. Send the item over, and you’ll get a cool5,760 Gald as a reward, alongside a massiveSP Bonus of around 2,800 SP.

You’ll get one lastcutscene with the Researcher, and after it’s over, theImposing Figure Title will be unlocked for Malik.
