Quick Links
Jeweller’s Orbs have received a bit of a makeover inPath of Exile 2. Since there are no Gem Sockets on gear, you’re able to directly use them on a Skill Gem to add extra Support Gem slots. Using a Greater Jeweller’s Orb on a Skill Gem (with three slots) will let you link four Support Gems to it, essentially creating a five-link. This can greatly improve your clear-speed, single-target DPS, and even survivability, as you transition from to the endgame.
However, getting a Greater Jeweller’s Orb can be a little challenging if you are just starting out. This guide will discuss all the ways using which you can easily farm Greater Jeweller’s Orbs.

Path of Exile 2 iscurrently in Early Access. The information in the guide issubject to changeas the game continues development.
How To Farm The Greater Jeweller’s Orbs?
It is a generic drop, meaning you have a chance to find itanywhere in the game. However, similar to other rare currency items, you candrastically increase your oddsof finding it byjuicing your endgame maps.
When farming for the Greater Jeweller’s Orb,we recommend doing Red Maps, i.e. T11+ to get more loot. Here are some useful mods to look for on your Waystones:

Anything that can addmore monsters to your Waystonesis generally recommended. These include things like Pack Size, Delirium, Breach, etc. Be sure to engage with these mechanics (if your build can handle it) to increase your chances.
Lastly, it does not hurt togetsome Item Rarity on your gearas well. Something likeAndvariuscan make all the difference.

While it is generally recommended to farm T11+ Waystones, Path of Exile 2 is very unforgiving when it comes to dying. If your build cannot handle Red Maps, it is better to stay on Yellow Maps instead of dying repeatedly.
Should You Use Local Knowledge?
Local Knowledge isan Atlas Passive Skill that increases thedrop rateof certain itemsdepending on which Biome Maps you are running. For instance, when running Grass Biome Maps, you will have a 40 percent increased chance of getting more Socket Currency, i.e.Lesser Jeweller’s Orb,Greater Jeweller’s Orb, andPerfect Jeweller’s Orb.
However, when doing other Biome Maps, the weighting will shift to items likeChimeral Inscribed Ultimatum,Balbala’s Barya, Gold, etc. Therefore,we only recommend allocating the Local Knowledge node when running Grass Biome Maps, which are:

Trade With Other Players
In the Trade League, the easiest way to acquire theGreater Jeweller’s Orbis topurchase it from other players. you may do it in two ways:
Currency Exchange
The most convenient method is to justuse the in-game Currency Exchange. To access it, speak with these NPCs:
Hideout
Alva
In the Early Access version, youunlock the Currency Exchangeafter completingAct-3 on the‘Normal’difficulty.
Open the Currency Exchange, select theGreater Jeweller’s Orbin the ‘I Want’ section, andExalted Orbin the ‘I Have’ section. After that, select the amountyou want to buy,double-check the current rate, andconfirm the trade.

If done correctly, you will see the purchased item in the Currency Exchange window. Simply drag and drop it in your inventory.
Consider paying one or two additional Exalted Orbs (more than the current market rate) if you need a quicker trade.

Trade Website
If you think Currency Exchange is a bit expensive, you can alwaysuse the officialTrade Website. Simply search for the Greater Jeweller’s Orb,send a Direct Whisperto someone, and complete the trade.
A Cheaper Way To Get Five-Link
There is also amuch easier way to get a five-linkSkill Gem if you are in Solo Self-Found or unable to purchase it.
You basically need to ‘Uncut’your lowest-level Skill Gems, use aLesser Jeweller’s Orbon them to get three slots, andhit them with aVaal Orb. When you use a Vaal Orb on anUncut Skill Gem, you get one of these outcomes:
Keep on doing it until you manage to get a five-link. After that, level it upusing your highest-level Uncut Skill Gem. you’re able to also use it to get a six-link, but it can get much more expensive due to RNG.
Do note that while you’re able to level up a Corrupted Skill Gem, you cannot add Quality to it. If you need Quality on it, be sure to do that first.
