Each season, Bungie adds a new ritual weapon toDestiny 2. These weapons come with preset rolls that are usually quite strong, albeit not as powerful as the game’s endgame PvE or PvP weapons. If you’re a new or returning player who wants a solid weapon for mid-tier content, getting your hands on ritual weapons isn’t a bad idea.
This season, players who grind ritual content can get their hands on Resounding, a Strand Fusion Rifle that fires in horizontal bursts. It’s effectively a Shotgun with a set of Fusion-themed perks, perfect for slaying adds and majors alike. Let’s go over how to get this weapon and briefly cover its trait options.

How To Unlock Resounding
Resounding, the ritual weapon for Episode: Heresy, is unlocked by reaching Rank 16 with Zavala, Shaxx, or the Drifter. Each vendor oversees a different ritual activity in Destiny 2.You only need to max one of the three vendors to get your hands on Resounding.
Zavalaoversees most ritual PvE content in Destiny 2, consisting of the Vanguard Ops and Onslaught playlists. Vanguard Ops consist of Strikes and Battleground missions from previous years. Onslaught is a cooperative defense playlist where players must defend an objective from waves of enemies. Completing either playlist will award Vanguard Rep.

Shaxxcoordinates the Crucible, Destiny 2’s main PvP game mode. All game types in the Crucible playlist—including temporary events like Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris—will award Crucible Reputation with Shaxx. If you love fighting other Guardians, you might want to farm the PvP playlists for Resounding.
Drifterhas been somewhat left in the dust since Gambit hasn’t seen many updates in recent years, but he’s still treated as a ritual vendor. Completing Gambit matches will award Gambit Rep, which will then progress the Drifter’s reward track. Get him to Rank 16, and you’ll be able to claim Resounding as your own.
Hatchling
Reservoir Burst
Resounding is part of the recently-reworkedAggressive Frame archetype, firing a burst of energy in ahorizontalpattern instead of a vertical spread. This makes Resounding behave closer to a Shotgun with a charge-up period than a proper Fusion Rifle. You’ll want to stay close to enemies to ensure all of your bolts hit the target, or you can stand back to tag multiple targets at once.
As for perks, you have some decent options here.Subsistence and Reservoir Burstseems to be the strongest combination here, granting a constant 20 percent damage boost and on-kill explosions at the top of your magazine. A single kill will then proc Subsistence, reloading your weapon from reserves. This will proc Reservoir Burst again, allowing you to fire back-to-back explosive bursts.
PvP players can attempt to make something work withCorneredandHatchling, although we don’t recommend it due to this archetype’s aggressive spread. For most Crucible mains, we suggest using another Fusion Rifle instead.
