Launching the same day it was announced,Warriors: Abyssoffers a surprisingly solid and robust roguelike experience with a staggering 100 Heroes to choose from, guaranteeing you’ll find your favorite playstyle to begin your march through hell as you slay hoards upon hoards of monsters, making for some hectic and exhilarating gameplay moments.
With many systems and mechanics at play, it can be a bit challenging to pinpoint how certain aspects of the game work or how you may improve specific attributes of your Hero during a run, such as increasing their Maximum Health. Fortunately, it’s not nearly as complex as it seems, and you can buff yourself up and slash your way through hell!

How To Increase Your Max Health
Overall, there areonly a handful of ways you can increase your Max Healthin Warriors: Abyss, which can betremendously valuable in keeping you aliveduring the more hectic moments of a run or can be the make or break when defeating a challenging boss.
Whileevery Hero will have differing Attack and Defense properties, all of them will have the same Max Health,no matter the Dynasty, their size, or defensive prowess, which may be confusing at first, but it makes sense once you learn how raising that limit is handled in the game.

There are a total ofthree ways you can increase your Hero’s Maximum Healthin Warriors: Abyss, withtwo of the methods being limited to the current runand theother being a permanent increase across the board. We will cover the two temporary increases first, then end with the permanent one!
Peach Trees
Peach Treeswill be themost common method of raising your Maximum Health during a runin Warriors: Abyss, but theycan still be rare, as they won’t always appear.Nonetheless, after youcomplete a Phase, there is achance one of the Portals will have a Peach iconnext to it, signifying that it leads to a Peach Tree.
Activate the Portal and take it to the next areato find a sizable, lonePeach Treein the following room. Approach the tree and select the’Eat’option to have your Heroconsume a Peach, raising their Maximum Health while replenishing a decent portion of their healthbar if it’s low.

From here, your Maximum Health will be increased until you meet your fate or clear the run, where it will thenreset back to normal, meaning it isnot a permanent upgrade.Still, these Peach Trees are lifesavers and should be taken advantage of whenever they show up!
Treasure
The following method of raising your Maximum Health in Warriors: Abyss is viaTreasures, obtainedafter slaying bossesandopening the large Chestnear the exit. You will have achoice of three Treasures and can only choose one,and theywill always be randomized,so you won’t know which ones you will have until after you defeat the boss.
If you’re lucky, theIeyasu Tokugawa’s Golden ArmorTreasure will be one of the three choices, as it willincrease your Hero’s Maximum Health by a generous 30 percentfor the remainder of the run, expiring if you die or roll credits, making it yet another temporary boost.
Unfortunately, there are24 Treasuresin the game, so yourodds of getting this one specifically aren’t exceptionally high.Still, if you see the Golden Armor cross your path after taking down a boss, you should snag it unless one of the other choices is substantially better for your current run!
Forming Bonds With Heroes
Forming Bondsis our third and final way ofincreasing your Maximum Healthin Warriors: Abyss, except this one is far more beneficial, as itimpacts every single Heroin the game and is apermanent buff.As you play the game, you will obtainKarma Embers, which can then be used toobtain Heroesthrough theHall of Bonded Souls.
Despite acquiring a new Hero being awesome in its own right, thereal benefit of obtaining more characters is their permanent Stat Buffsthatimpact every Hero’s Health, Attack, or Defense.TakeXu Zhu,for example. Forming aBondwith him will provide auniversal +2 Health to every single Heroin the game, making this system massive for subsequent runs.

Remember, thisimpacts EVERY Hero in the game, which will be how you make future runs much more manageable!
