Not only will you need a slew of ingredients to make wine in The Sims, but you’ll need to work on boosting your Cooking skill a bit, too, if you’d like to earn more cash for selling your fresh-pressed goods. There are four different types of nectar in The Sims: Makin' Magic for you to start makin'.

Press Fruits Into Nectar
Being a family-friendly game, you’ll never see your Sims obtaining anything outwardly labeled as alcohol, but they’ve sure got a fair few stand-ins for it. One of them is nectar, which your Simscan make at homeusing theA Pressing Feelingnectar making item from buy mode. If you’re making fruit nectar, you’ll need two fruits and one portion of sugar, so the recipes are fairly simple.
For the most part, you’ll needelderberries and grapes, which you can buy in Magic Town withyour spellcasting itemsor grow on your home lot using a special type of gardening plot. Another central ingredient for your nectar crafting issugar, available from any general goods stand. If you’re making a lot of wine and need to head to Magic Town often for ingredients, save time and money by using the shortcut hole that came with your home lot, especially if you don’t live close to Magic Town itself.
Simplyput items from your inventory into the A Pressing Feeling Nectar Makerfollowing the recipes in the table below, and you’ll watch your Sim physically press the nectar themselves. Byinteracting with the press a second timeafter the batch is finished, you can choose tosell your wine, watching the asking price increaseas you improve your Cooking skill, or save it in the Taste of the Vine Nectar Bar.
Finally, there’s a recipe for Magic Nectar that temporarily renders any Sim who drinks it into a ghost. The recipe won’t be shown in your book until you’ve made it yourself for the first time, so use the recipe in the table below to log it into the recipe book for future use.
