Before you start lining up headshots with your friends (or randoms), you’ll need to figure out how to play together. Don’t worry, it’s not rocket science — just a lot of invite codes and menu navigation.
Whether you’re hosting a co-op mission, diving into squad matches, or flexing in No Cross, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know. Let’s get this multiplayer party started because sniping is always better with company.
How To Add Friends
Any friends already on your platform’s friend list willautomatically show upin the game. To add new ones, justadd themthrough yourconsole’s network,Steam account, orlink your Epic Gamesaccount.
You don’t actually need to add friends, as multiplayer runs on an invite code system. Adding them is mostly just useful for checking who’s online.
You can play with friends either throughCo-Op ModeorMultiplayer Mode.
Co-Op Mode
To play Co-Op mode, go to themain play menu screenwhere you’ll see the options tohostorfinda co-op game. To host one:
If you prefer to find a co-op game, select’Find Co-Op Game’from the main menu. This option willautomatically match youwith arandomplayer.

What Are The Multiplayer Game Modes?
There are seven modes to choose from for multiplayer play. They are:

No Cross
An8v8 sniping matchwhere abarrierdivides the map. The goal is to rack up kills without crossing the barrier.
Free-For-All
Anon-team-based modewhere youcompete soloto get the highest number of kills within the time limit or until the score cap is reached.
Team Match
An8v8 modesimilar to No Cross butwithout a barrier.The objective is to get the most kills.
Squad Match
A4v4v4v4modewhere players are split into four teams. Like Team Match, the goal is to outscore other teams by getting kills.
Custom Games
Create your own matchesusing any of the above game modes, withcustomizable rulesto suit your preferences.
Joinanother player’s campaignandhunt them downas a German sniper.
How Does Matchmaking Work?
When you queue for a Multiplayer match, the game willeither place you in a lobbyorallow you to host your own.Once the lobby fills up, thehost can adjust the match settingsvia the Game Settings tab. At leasttwo players are requiredto start a match. For Co-Op, it’ll simplyplace you into the lobbyof someone else looking for a co-op partner.
Is There Crossplay?
Yes, there’s crossplay! Since the game uses an invite code system, you don’t need to be on each other’s friends list to team up. Supported platforms includePlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One,and PC.
Not a fan of crossplay? No problem. Head to the ‘Options’ menu, navigate to the ‘Game’ tab under ‘Multiplayer,’ and toggle off the ‘Cross-Play Allowed’ setting.
