Music has always been integral to The Sims experience, whether it’s the iconic original soundtrack or Simlish versions of songs by Japanese Breakfast and Carly Rae Jepsen. The Sims 4is no exception here, particularly since Get Together’s addition of the Dancing skill.
So long as you aren’t playing on a console, you’ve also always been able to add your own tunes to the in-game radio stations for your Sims to do the BlicBlok to. With The Sims 4, all you need is some properly formatted files and the right file location.

How To Add Music To Radio Stations
If you’re starting to get tired of Simlish covers of songs, thenThe Sims 4 offers players the option to customise in-game radio stations by adding their own music files. When you add music to the game, it’ll play onradios, earbuds, and speakers if you select the corresponding station.
Music was often added to a custom folder in earlier installments of the Sims franchise. In The Sims 4, music is instead added to the radio station of your choice, meaning that if you add something to the Pop music folder, it will appear on the Pop station; this also means that this music will count as a Sim’s favourite music if they prefer that station.

File Requirements For Custom Music
For the game to recognise your music files, they have to meet certain technical requirements:
If the files you want in the game don’t meet these requirements, you can use software to convert or compress them.

Whatever you name the audio files you’re loading in is how they’ll appear in the game’s settings as the song title, somake sure to give them names that make senseto you.
If youedit the file’s metadata, you can add the artist’s nametoo. This isn’t necessary, but it can help you keep your files organised in-game.
