As you explore the skies inAloft, you’ll come across various resources you can use to develop your own personal floating island. From gathering livestock to growing your own crops, there’s a lot to get done. None of it can be successful without a steady supply of water–but you’ll find it’s harder to come by than you thought.
There’s water everywhere, but it’s not clean. We’ll help you purify it so you can start cooking better recipes, watering your crops, and quenching your thirst. It’s important to stay hydrated, even in a fictional world, if only for the temporary stat boosts.

How To Get Water
It’s not hard to get water. Thankfully, youdon’t need an additional vesselto carry it at first. You canscoop up cups of water in quantities of fivewithout any tools, from any source. Whether it’s a pond, waterfall, or river,any water source can be accessedwithout depleting it.
Water isstored in stacks of 50, so make sure you have enough space in your inventory.
The downside is thatthe water is dirtyand unusable. you may’t drink it or water crops with it until it’s purified, but the way to do that isn’t clear right away.
How To Clean Dirty Water
To clean the surplus of dirty water, you’ll need tocollect a good amount of charcoal. You can clean the water without a workbench, using acup of dirty water and a piece of charcoal. When you put them together, you’llget clean water!
Clean water can be used tomake drinks like coffee, though it can beconsumed alone for the Hydrated status. With this, yourattack speed will be increased. It’s a good idea to have a quick drink beforefighting against the corruptionplaguing the floating islands.
