How To Remove Wanted Status
The Wanted Status is indicated by the red prison gate icon that appears in the city you are in.
There are three waysto remove your Wanted status:
In the first case, you have toplay the waiting game– which means you will need to wait a couple of days,which sometimes can take a weekfor the Status to get removed.
During this time,you’re able to talk to guards and try to bribe them(by paying a certain amount of Gold, the amount varies every time) or convince them to reduce or remove your Wanted status. Or else, indulge in activities around the outskirts such ascompleting side questsand build up your overall reputation. This would go a long way in getting your Wanted status reduced in the later phases of the game.
The second way issurrendering yourself. Put everything you have inside the chest beside your permanent bed and then head towards the town. Talk to a guard and surrender yourself, get punished, and then set yourself free from the Wanted status.
It’s one of the most ideal and practical ways of getting yourself ticked off from the criminal list in the town.
The third way is to use acheat command–cheat_set_wanted_level=0to stop pursuits by guards and law enforcement. However, the downside of using this method isyour achievements will be disabled. So, if you don’t care about the trophies and achievements, you can use this method. It works instantly and like a charm.
