A museum is nothing but a collection of stuff without people coming by and paying money to come appreciate it, and as you curate unique locations inTwo Point Museum, you’ll come across plenty of different kinds of visitors, each of whom would like something different out of their day at your museum.
Getting to know the patrons of your museums is essential for catering the space to their liking, since happy visitors are far more likely to donate on their visit or grab something from the gift shop than those who leave unsatisfied. Be sure there’s something for everyone!

Every Visitor Wants Something Different
While it’s a silly game to be certain, Two Point Museum forces you to take some very lifelike inspiration into each museum to help run it successfully, and anyone catering to a demographic knows thatdifferent types of visitors value different thingsfrom their time at your establishment. You can’t paint with broad strokes and please everyone, in real life or in Two Point Museum!
Visitors evaluate your museums based on three metrics: how muchKnowledgethey’ve gained from their time there, theBuzzaround your exhibits, and their overallHappinesswith the visit. And while everyone wants some mix of these three things from your museum, every type of visitor values one or two of these traitsmore than anything else when considering their donation amounts and review scores.

The most in-depth display of Knowledge from Info Stands won’t mean anything to your Child visitors if they’re not reading them, while the Professors who visit may be too keenly focused on their Knowledge evaluation of the museum to care too much about the Buzz around your exhibits. You’ll need to try anensure there’s something for everyoneat your museums, since the more visitor types you can satisfy, the more money they’re likely to donate back to your museum.
In this vein, patrons all have aDream Visit, a longer-term goal that will require some specific work past just keeping them happy and having a good time on their visit. These visits are based on the visitor type and will vary from person to person, so be sure to check which patrons you’re close to giving the ultimate visit to!

Click Each Guest To Learn More About Them
When different folks visit your museum, you’ll be able to access all kinds of information about those patrons by eitherclicking on them as they walkthrough the museum, or by going into yourguest logamong your curator tools on the bottom of the screen. This brings up anOverview menuon the first of four tabs, providing some basic information about the guest in question.
You’ll be able to seewhat they’re doingat the current moment and where they are in the museum, how they feelabout their surroundings or needs at the given time, theirfavorite objectsthat make them happiest, theirDream Visit(which you can pin as a task to track that much easier), andhow much they’ve donated. All of this culminates in their overalldesire to stay- guest leave when this meter bottoms out.

On thesmiley face tab, you can see that guest’scurrent mood, as is influenced by needs that we’ll elaborate a bit on below. The next tab, thethree silhouettes, will show you if this visitor iswith a group, providing easy access to other group members' information if they’re visiting with friends. Finally, you’ve got anevent logof everything this guest has done or though since they entered your museum.
Have Areas To Satisfy Guest Biological Needs
While not all of them will be human visitors, your museum patrons all have somebasic needs you’ll have to satisfyto keep them happy during their visit. No matter how informative or entertaining your exhibits are, if your guest’s toilet comfort need has been lowered and you don’t have a bathroom on site, both they and your janitor are unlikely to enjoy what follows.
It’s important for every guest that you keep a few things in mind:

Happier guests donate more money, so you’ll always want to be sure you’re looking out for your visitors when they come through each museum you curate!
