In the first episode ofUrban Myth Dissolution Center, you experience events through the eyes of a young woman named Azami. Constantly seeing eerie, red shadowy figures, Azami seeks answers and ends up meeting Director Meguriya, getting drawn deeper into the mysteries.
While initially helping to solve the Cursed Chair case, she unexpectedly finds herself working for the director. Her first official case involves her friend Mio, where a mysterious entity suddenly appears in Mio’s home. It’s up to you to uncover the truth behind this anomaly. In this guide, we’ll be by your side as you navigate the dark and mysterious first episode of this visual novel.
How To Solve Cursed Chair Case
The first chapter of the game begins with Azami, who sees ghostly entities, arriving at the Urban Myth Dissolution Center. There, she meets Meguriya, who gives her a pair of glasses. Shortly after, Azami accidentally sits on the Cursed Chair. As a result, your first objective is to undo this curse.
This will lead you to a hypothesis screen where you must correctly arrange key phrases. The correct answer is as follows:
chair’s seat
that jabs you with a needle
Third Answer
injects a necrotizing poison
Once you complete the hypothesis, you’ll need to test whether it’s correct. To do this, click on the Chair again, which will reveal the “Take a look” option. Azami will go overboard while checking it and end up breaking the Chair. The Director will then mention that the Chair was borrowed and tell Azami she now has a 10,000,000 yen debt, which she must work to repay.
After this, he will hand you a journal. Click on the journal, then you need to select the Director’s power. The correct choice here is “Vision.” After this, your conversation with Director Meguriya will continue for a while. Then you will meet Jasmine.
First Social Media Research Phase
After you meet Jasmine, you’ll then set out with her. Inside the van, Jasmine will introduce you to social media research. After the explanation, it’s time to put it into practice.
Now that you’ve gathered all three clues, the social media research phase is complete.
How To Complete The First Day
Upon arriving at Mio’s place, your goal is tofind eight clues:
At this stage, you need toput on your glassesto uncover more clues.
After the conversation,select “Who was the shadow at the entrance?” on the left.Now, similar to the Cursed Chair case, you must form a hypothesis.

Now you need to form another hypothesis. Select “Where did the shadow come from?” in the left menu. Choose the following phrases to complete the hypothesis:

somewhere within the room
Now, you have a total of five clues. Your next objective is to find an entry point in Mio’s room:
At this point, Director Meguriya will call Azami. This will start the Identification phase, where you must determine the nature of the urban myth.

Thanks to the Director, you’ll learn that this urban myth is The Man Under The Bed. However, the Director will inform you that this entity cannot be countered, and he will tell you to end the day. Then, you will see a cutscene about Mio, and the next day will begin.
Second Social Media Research Phase
Your first task while on the road with Jasmine is to find four posts on social media that are flaming Mio and Eiko-san:
After finding all four clues, the social media research will be complete. You will then return to Mio’s place again.
How To Complete The Second Day
This time, you will need to find eight clues about the connection between Mio and the anomaly.
Click on “Mio & anomaly – connection?” in the left menu. This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:
to suddenly
appear in front of you
and scare you
This will give you the sixth clue. Talk to Eiko and exhaust her dialogues. Put on your glasses andinteract with the hooded shadow figure that stands next to Mio.Then, from the left menu, select “Prevent the anomaly from appearing.” This will bring up another hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:
blocking
the space under the bed
furniture
Talk to Mio again and ask about her ex-boyfriend. Keep asking for more details. This will give you the seventh clue and reveal that her ex-boyfriend was a stalker. Select the bed again and choose “Fill-up.” This will complete the final clue. After this, you will see a scene showing what happened that night from Mio’s perspective.
How To Complete The Third Day
Eiko’s Place - Find Four Clues
The next day, you will go to Eiko’s place. After the dialogues, you will need to find four clues today.
Mio’s Place - Find Seven Clues
After this, you will head to Mio’s Place, where you need to find seven clues. You can find three of them before putting on your glasses:
Next, go to the left menu and click on “Think about fallen books.” This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:
fell from the shelves
for some reason
before the room was splattered red
This will give you the fourth clue. Now,put on your glasses.Interact with all the shadowy figures, then speak with Jasmine. Next,go to the left menu and click on “Whose shadow at entrance?“This will bring up the hypothesis screen. Choose the following answers:

after the room was splattered
This will give you the sixth clue, leaving just one more to find.Interact with the one-eyed shadow figure near the dooragain and select “Look Again.” This will allow you to find the final clue.
After this, Director Meguriya will call you. During the conversation, he will ask you to spend the night at Mio’s apartment. Move towards to the bed and watch the events unfold. Later, Jasmine will come to you and inform you that Eiko’s apartment has also been splattered in red.
Third Social Media Research Phase
After the events, your social media research will begin again, and you will need to find three clues:
Once you collect all three clues, the social media research phase will be complete.
How To Complete The Dissolution Phase
Afterward, you will arrive at Eiko’s apartment, where you need to find four clues:
Mio’s Place – Find Three Clues
Click on “How did the man enter the room?” in the left menu and complete the Hypothesis with the following answers:

Put on your glasses andinteract with the centipede-like shadow again.Select “Climb-up.” This will open the hatch above, and Azami willenter the ceiling space, where you need to find three more clues.
Ceiling Space – Find Three Clues
The Dissolution Phase
After you find the final clue on the ceiling space, as always, Director Meguriya will call you, leading to the Dissolution Phase. During the conversation with the Director, you need to answer the following questions correctly:
You determined where the Man appeared from. Where was it?
The Man emerged from the ceiling space.
What would you say is the goal of the Man Under the Bed who is stalking Mio-san?
To scare Mio.
What was the nature of the man we have been tracking down through this investigation?
Who do you think this living man could be?
Maintenance worker.
The man disguised as an electrical contractor hid in the ceiling space. How do you think he accessed Mio-san’s room?
The man had an accomplice.
The man was supposedly there, but wasn’t. Who might have been his accomplice?

Once all this is done, you only need to read the remaining dialogues. Afterward, episode one will be complete.
