Combat can be a little clunky inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Swinging swords and axes at guards and bandits isn’t always the best way to approach confrontations. If you can stay quiet, a stealth kill or a silent takedown is a much better tactic. Fighting multiple enemies at once puts you at a massive disadvantage.
However, it’s not as simple as just crouch walking behind an enemy and pressing a button. You have to do a few things in preparation to be able to do stealth kills in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You also need a specific weapon that allows you to be less obvious with your attacks than with swords.

How To Unlock Stealth Kills
First of all, you need to make sure theStealth Kill skill is unlockedin the Player menu. In the Stealth section, it’ll likely be the first skill you have unlocked. Without it, Henry won’t be able to kill enemies quietly, no matter what.
Then, you also need tomake sure that you have aDagger. You’ll be given one early on in the story, but if you’ve sold or lost it you’ll be able to get another easily.

If you’re in the early hours of the game, in the Trotsky region, you canhead to the camp south west of Troskowitz and adaggeris on a table outside the Herdboy’s hut.
At any other point in the game, you can buy one from a few different vendors. Obviously,Swordsmiths will always stock them, but you’ll alsolikely find both Blacksmiths and Innkeepers at Taverns selling them.
Thankfully, they’re quite cheap. You can expect to spend just about 20 Groschen on one. You will be able to get them for a lower price if you haggle well and have a good reputation with the merchant.
How To Do A Stealth Kill
Once you have adaggerand the stealth kill skill unlocked, you can silent take out enemies when you need to.
When you’re close behind the enemy you want to stealth kill, you’ll see theL2 buttonappear in the bottom right of the screen if you’re on PS5 (LT on Xbox and F on PC).Hold that and you’ll initiate a stealth kill.
Just tab the button if you want to knock the enemy out instead of killing them.
You’ll then need topress R2/RT/the right mouse button once you see the blue swords icon appear. This will let you overpower the enemy so that they don’t escape or alert other enemies around them.
Once an enemy is incapacitated. You can eitherleave them unconscious if they’re just knocked out, make sure they’re dead, or hide their body somewhere. Which you do depends on how likely you are to be caught moving the body and whether your Henry is someone who kills when he doesn’t really need to.
