Just as you’d expect from an Assassin’s Creed game, Naoe and Yasuke get access to new skills and abilities as you progress throughAssassin’s Creed: Shadows. Being able to do a landing roll is really useful as it stops you taking a lot of damage when leaping from a great height.

Also, there is a trophy and achievement in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows that asks you to do a landing roll. However, the description of the challenge doesn’t explain what you need to do to pull one off. You’re not able to do a landing roll when you first start Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

How To Do A Landing Roll

In Assassin’s Creed: Shadows,Naoe is the only character who can do a landing roll. Yasuke is too big and bulky to be able to.

To do a landing roll, all you need to do ispress circle if you’re on PlayStation or B if you’re on Xbox just before you hit the groundwhen jumping from any height. However,you may’t do it early on in the game.

Naoe and a trophy unlock notification in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

First,you need to unlock a skill. If you head toNaoe’s Shinobi skill tree, you’ll spota skill called Igan Rollon the right of the tree. You need to be at Knowledge Rank 2to unlock it, but do so and you’ll be able to do a landing roll at any time.

To get to Knowledge Rank 2, you’ll need to progress through the story and complete some of the shrine and temple challenges, which ask you to play a few times or find a few lost scrolls.

Sometimes Trophy/Achievement

Once you’ve unlocked the Igan Roll skill, you’ll be able to unlock the Sometimes trophy or achievement too. First, make sure you’re playing as Naoe.

Then,head to the top of a building and jump off towards solid ground. Just before you hit the ground,press circle or B and Naoe will rollto limit the fall damage she takes. Then, the trophy or achievement should pop and you’ll be notified on screen.
