Hello Kitty Island Adventurehas a lot of features, but many of these will unlock as you progress through the story and increase your friendship with the characters around the island. One feature that you can eventually unlock is the Fwishing Well, which is used to donate fish in exchange for new materials.
In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to unlock the Fwishing Well, which is done through the quest When You Fwish Upon a Fish. Additionally, we’ll cover how to actually use the well, including what you may donate and what the rewards are.
How To Unlock When You Fwish Upon A Fish
The quest When You Fwish Upon a Fish has a few requirements that you need to complete in order for it to unlock. Firstly, you’ll need to belevel eight friendship with Hangyodon,as he is the quest-giver for this.
You’ll also need tocomplete the following two quests.Each one has its own requirements, so we’ve included those in a second column as well.
Reach level 3 friendship withBadtz-maru
Comic Relief
Reach level 6 friendship with Hangyodon
Overall,getting through these quests isn’t too difficult;you should be able to wrap them up in no time. After they have been completed and you have the necessary friendship level with Hangyodon, When You Fwish Upon a Fish will become available.
How To Complete When You Wish Upon a Fwish
Now that you’ve unlocked When You Fwish Upon a Fish,it’s time to seek out Hangyodon.He should be standing at the Fwishing Well itself, which is locatedjust south of the central Spooky Swamp mailbox.This fountain has been here since the start of the game;you’ve probably walked by it several times before.
If you are unsure of where this is still, justlook for Hangyodon’s icon on the map.
Talk with him here, and Hangyodon willtell you to speak with Badtz-maru.At this point,head to the Seaside Resort docks to speak with Badtz-maru.Hangyodon will tag along and during the conversation,you’ll be tasked with catching five fish to donate.
The fish in question can be fromanywhere on the map.Slightly south of Badtz-maru,you can fish off the docks, but there is also a fishing area in the Spooky Swamp,north of the central mailbox. Wherever you choose to go,just collect five fish and head back to the fountain.
We highly suggest catching six fish at this point,as Hangyodon will later ask for you to give him one. Rather than heading back to the water, you can simplyhand it over immediately.
Releasing The Fish In The Fwishing Well
Once the fish have been gathered,interact with the Fwishing Well and select all five of them.Upon confirming this, you’ll get some Fwish Furniture. Here at TheGamer,we received the Fwish Mirror.
After donating the fish, Hangyodon will want to get in on the action. To help him out,gift him one fish to use in the well.This is the final step in the quest, so you’re done now!
How To Use The Fwishing Well
You’ve learned that the Fwishing Well is used to donate fish, but what is the full list of donations and rewards? The donation list is simple;you can donate any fish in the game.If it’s classified as a fish in your inventory,you can toss it in!
Does donating a fish always give you a reward? It depends on the fish. It seems that the game’s developers made a statement about the Fwishing Well, noting thatto get a reward, you need ten points.Normal fishcount as one point,while fish with the Rare tagcount as two.
This may not completely be true, however,it’s still better to donate more fish at the same time.This may increase your chances of getting an item. Overall though,getting any piece of Fwish furniture is rare.Some players report that you’ll have aslightly higher chance to earn smaller pieces in the set,such as the Fwish Plant of Fwish Nightstand.
There are16 pieces of Fwish furniture,and the Fwishing Well is theonly way that you can get any of them.
