There are a lot of locations for you to visit inHello Kitty Island Adventure. Eventually, you’ll be able to unlock City Town and meet Usahana. The location doesn’t just stop there; you’ll also be able to gain access to the City Town Sewers, which is filled with new content.

In this guide, we will take a look at how to access the Sewers in City Town for the first time. This Hello Kitty Island Adventure location has a lot to it, but this will cover the initial trek down here, as it won’t be available immediatelyafter you visit City Town.

Quest To Unlock The Sewers

To unlock the Sewers, you’ll need tocomplete the quest called Above and Below.This quest has its own requirement,which is to complete Tea Time.As expected, this is another quest with its own set of requirements, which you can find below.

Once all of this has been completed, you can thenmove on to Tea Time, and then eventually begin Above and Below.

How To Complete Above And Below

Above and Below isn’t too difficult to complete, but there are a few steps involved. Firstly,head to Hello Kitty to begin the quest.While talking to her, she will mention that she wants tomeet up with Usahana in City Town.

From here, travel to City Town where you will findHello Kitty, Chococat, and Badtz-maru waiting at the fountain in the center of town.Talk to Hello Kitty again, and you’ll learn that Chococat wants tostudy the fog.

This will begin a short cutscene about the City Town fog, but interestingly,nothing happens related to it.Usahana shows up and wonders what everyone is doing, and then everyone will move on. In a future update, something may appear beyond this fog, butfor now, you’ll turn your sights elsewhere.

Prepare Boba For Everyone

Before heading to the Sewers, everyone wants to hang out. Of course, it’s up to you to prepare the drinks for the occasion, so you’ll be tasked withmaking four Unsweetened Apple Boba.The prerequisite for Above and Below is Tea Time, so you should already know how to make this drink. To do so, you’ll need tocombine the following ingredients at the Chef’s Station.

The drink isn’t milky or sweetened, so you’ll just need to make this version four times to fulfill this portion of the quest.

After you’ve made the Boba,head to everyone at the park and give all four drinks to Hello Kitty.This will cause everyone to start talking, andBadtz-maru will mention the Sewers.Usahana will then tell everyone about the Sewers; once the conversation is done,follow everyone to the Sewer entrance, which is just south of the fountain where you originally met everyone.

Inside the Sewers, head slightly right and up some stairsuntil you reach everyone. At this point, there is just one final step in the quest; you’ll need tocomplete the Underground Introductions puzzle room.

How To Complete Underground Introductions

For the most part, puzzle rooms aren’t required, but Underground Introductions is necessary to complete Above and Below. The main mechanic of this room involvesraising and lowering the water level in order to place gold cubes on buttons.

The cubes don’t have a corresponding button;you can put any cube on any button in the room.

Before leaving, be sure to jump down and open the chest,which contains a Green Turtle Shell Backpack.

Once you are done with the puzzle room,head back outside and talk to Usahana.This marks the official end of the quest, butafter waiting a day, you’re able to then begin Daydreams and Drains.Until then, everyone will disperse, and the quest will be complete.

At this point, you can continue to explore the Sewers. Unfortunately,there is no in-game map of the Sewersbut thankfully, the Hello Kitty Island Adventure community has come to the rescue. You can findan unofficial map on Redditthat displays the layout, as well as all puzzle rooms, mailboxes, and other features.

How To Revisit The Sewers

Since there is no map of the Sewers,you won’t be able to freely teleport out of the area.Instead, this can only be done byfinding a ladder to the surface or teleporting from a mailbox.

If you’ve already activated a mailbox, you canuse this as a point to teleport back in with.You can also re-enter into the Sewer at manholes that are spread throughout City Town. If you run over a manhole and the icon of a cover with a pink arrow appears, you can climb down.

There are some Gudatamas that disguise themselves in a manhole. Once you take a picture of them,the Gudatama, along with the entire manhole, will disappear.
