There are a lot of crafting stations that you can make inTerraria. This ranges from simple anvils to unique stations meant for one specific type of resource. Early into the game, you’ll be able to make your own Loom, which is primarily used to make things out of silk.
Want your own Loom? In this guide, we’ll go over how to make a Loom for the first time, as well as what you can do with it. Overall, this is quite a handy piece of equipment, so we recommend building it once you get the chance to.

How To Make A Loom
The Loom is pretty simple to build, all you need is 12 pieces of any type of wood.Looms aremade from the Sawmill, which is another piece of equipment that you will need to craft. In order to make the Sawmill, you will need tocombine the following materials at the Workbench.
Iron is obtained bysmelting Iron Ore in a furnace, while Chains are made by crafting with one Iron Bar at an Iron Anvil. One bar makes 15 chains, but for the Sawmill, you’ll just use one from this stack.

Once you have these materials, simply combine them at a Workbench to get a Sawmill and then use 12 pieces of wood at the Sawmill to make a Loom.
The Workbench is a basic grafting stationmade with ten of any type of wood right from your inventory.

Silk is a primary ingredient for many of these items. We’ve included it on the table, but just in case you missed it,you can make one piece of Silk with seven Cobwebs. These are plentiful underground, especially if you enter into a Spider Cave(in this location, the webs will regrow over time so you can come back and harvest more).
