When it comes to creative ways to take out Nazis inSniper Elite: Resistance, the Rat Bomb is as devious as it gets. Why go loud when you can let paranoia, and a well-placed explosive, do the work for you? In this mission, one particularly unpleasant officer has an unfortunate fear of rodents, and with a little patience, you can turn that into his downfall.
But first, you’ll need to track down the right tools for the job and set the perfect trap. If you’re ready to add a bit of sabotage to your sniping skills, here’s everything you need to know about finding and using the Rat Bomb to ensure your target never sees it coming.
How To Use The Rat Bomb
You’ll get the chance to use the Rat Bomb during the Dead Drop campaign mission. The earliest opportunity to find a Rat Bomb isin a rundown building marked by the Resistancenear thestart of the mission. Inside, you’ll see a number of tools scattered around, butthe Rat Bombislocated on a table at the top of a ladder.
Once you have the Rat Bomb, your next objective is to locate Philo Beck. He’smarked by a red marker inside a cafe, and you’ll need to get close enough to eavesdrop on his conversation. Listening in will reveal that Beck is concerned about a rat infestation, which is exactly the kind of paranoia you can exploit. With this information, you can move behind the cafe counterandplant the Rat Bomb on the floor, setting up the perfect trap.
It’s best to come in from the back of the cafe.
After the bomb is in place, all that’s left to do iswait for Beck to trigger it.However, be mindful of his guard. While the guard won’t set off the Rat Bomb himself, he can spot you and raise the alarm, which could complicate your mission. It’s best to take care of him beforehand or find a way to stay out of sight. Once everything is set,sit back and watchas Beck unknowingly meets his explosive end.
