There are a lot of areas that you can explore inHello Kitty Island Adventure. From the main islands that you start on to flower-filled meadows, there is a lot to see. One location that you can eventually unlock is City Town, which brings a brand new character named Usahana.
The trek to City Town is long, but by completing a series of quests, you will eventually unlock this colorful city. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to unlock City Town, which requires you to complete the quests Ship Shape and Into The Fog.
What Quests Do You Need To Complete?
The first quest that sets you directly on course for unlocking City Town is calledShip Shape, which is then followed by Into The Fog,which takes you directly to the new area. Prior to this though, there are a lot of quests that you need to complete.
Below, you can check out all necessary quests, as well as the associated requirements for them.
HaveFriendship level 6 with Kuromi
CompletePower Up The Gate
HaveFriendship level 4 with Pochacco
In addition to completing these quests, you’ll need to havefriendship level seven with the following characters.
When all of this has been completed, you are thenset up to start Ship Shape!
This is a lot of stuff to get done, so it only makes sense thatreaching City Town can’t be accomplished early into the game.Thankfully, if you focus on the requirements listed above, it shouldn’t take too long to reach the new location.
How To Start Ship Shape
To begin, find Badtz-maru, who willshow you a boat at the very end of the docks(near his shop and your cabin). Badtz-maru doesn’t know what to do about the boat though, soyou’ll need to find Chococat.
Chococat will be near his tentalong with Keroppi, who also spotted the boat.With the three in tow, head back to the boat again and speak with Chococat. During this scene,a Blue Figment will appear.He decides to take a closer look at the boat.
Meet At Hello Kitty Cafe
After inspecting the boat, you’ll now need tohead to the Hello Kitty Cafe with Badtz-maru and Keroppi.Hello Kitty isn’t there, so it’s up to you to make the pair some food.Badtz-maru will request a Pumpkin Pie,andKeroppi will request some Milk Bread.
Pumpkins can be found in theSpooky Swamp,while Milk Bread is made with Coral Milk that is found in theRainbow Reef.
Right after giving the two their food, Hello Kitty appears and mentions that she saw the boat. While talking about the boat,you’ll then see the Pink Figment.You may start to notice a trend here;Figments appear when someone uses their imagination in relation to the boat.
Chococat catches on to this too, and asks the group to start imagining. It doesn’t work, soyou’ll now need to find Kuromi who can be found in the Spooky Swamp.
Meet Kuromi In The Spooky Swamp
Head to Kuromi, who mentions that she saw a Figment appear, but it flew off. At this point,you’ll need to find the Figment.This is relatively easy, as it’sjust slightly north of where you chat with Kuromi.The Figment alsomakes some noise,so you can hear if you are nearby.
Once you catch the Figment,you’ll need to return to Chococat, who is by his tent again.After some conversation, it’s now time topiece all three figments together in order to make the Essence of Imagination!You just need the three Figments;no other items are required.
With the completed Essence in hand,go back to the boat and talk with Badtz-maru.The Essence of Imagination will be placed into the boat, andeveryone will scurry off in order to prepare. From here,you will need to wait until the following day to continue.
This is areal-life day.Sleeping in-game will not cause the next step to happen.
How To Start Into The Fog
Now that it’s the next day, you canstart Into The Fog.This quest will replace Ship Shape in your quest journal, with yourfirst task being to talk with Badtz-maru.Upon speaking with him, you’ll be told to gather everyone back at the boat. The everyone in question isChococat, Keroppi, Cinnamoroll, and Kuromi.
Chococat
First, head over to Chococat. He need to prepare, and it’s up to you to help him by obtaining the following items.
After these have been crafted,give them to Chococat.
Keroppi & Cinnamoroll
Keroppi and Cinnamoroll don’t need anything,just find them and tell them that everyone is meeting at the boat.Cinnamoroll typically moves about, but here at TheGamer, he was justfloating in the Seaside Resort plazaat this point in the quest.
Kuromi
Lastly, you’ll need to get Kuromi. Of course, she can’t leave without snacks, soyou’ll need to cook a variety of food for her,which we’ve listed below.
Meet At The Boat
With the last of Kuromi’s snacks prepared, it’s time tohead back to the boat and set sail for City Town!The boat will land, and you’ll be in a unique colorful city that is just begging to be explored. After some talking, everyone will split up to search around.
You can now head to your friends,whose locations are marked on the map.There are onlytwo groups to visit;once you speak to them both, head back to where the boat docked and everyone originally got out.
Usahana Introduction
After a bit more conversation,Usahana will appear.This is a brand-new character that you haven’t met yet! Based on the conversation, everyone already knows her. From here,Kuromi will give you the pie that you made earlier so that you can hand it to Usahana.
This, of course, makes Usahana quite happy! With that,the quest is done.you’re able to nowfreely explore City Town whenever you want, and build up your friendship with Usahana.You don’t need to take the boat to get here though; be sure to interact with the mailbox found near where Chococat was exploring. This can be used toquickly teleport to City Town.
There are other mailboxes here, as well as theImagination Cafe,which is another adorable cafe that you may cook at. You’ll only be able tovisit the cafe when you reach friendship level three with Usahana,so start giving her gifts right away!
