Josef Fares Dismisses Allegations That Split Fiction Is “Feminism Propaganda”
In a video on theFall DamageYouTube channel, Split Fiction director Josef Fares responds to viewer comments on the game’s trailers. While most of the comments are lighthearted, based on killing cute elephants or calling the new game a “family therapy simulator,” one commenter dared to suggest Split Fiction is “another ‘feminism propaganda’ soaked game,” telling the director to “Walk on…”
Naturally, this elicited a passionate response from Fares, who clearly couldn’t care less about that sort of thing.
“What the f**k is this,” he starts. “I guess that’s somebody reacting that there are two women. Let me say this. In Brothers, there were two guys. In A Way Out, there were two guys. In It Takes Two, there was one guy and one woman. And now there are two girls, and everybody is complaining. Come on, man. Let’s face it: this is based on my daughters. I don’t care what you have between your legs; that’s totally not interesting to me. Good characters are what is important.”

Fares' comments go to show that the people creating games don’t care about some perceived culture war, or inserting “DEI” characters into games, they just want to tell the best stories they can.
