Summary
InZoiis set to release in early access on March 28 and the anticipation is building among the upcoming game’s sizeable fanbase.
This anticipation is reflected by the fact that InZoi has becomeSteam’s most wishlisted game. This is particularly impressive given the upcoming life simulator had to surpass Hollow Knight: Silksong, Deadlock and Elden Ring: Nightreign to achieve this feat. Prior to its release, Monster Hunter Wilds wasSteam’s most wishlisted game- and went on toroaring commercial successonce it released. The rest of the top ten is rounded out by Mecha Break, Light No Fire, Subnautica 2, Dune: Awakening, Borderlands 4 and Ark 2.

Prepare Your Zoi
This isn’t too surprising considering that InZoi Studio has provided incentives to players who wishlist the game. Wishlisting InZoi is a prerequisite for gaining access to InZoi: Creative Studio, a separate version of InZoi that gives players access to the game’s character creator and build mode. However, the fact that so many players have responded to these incentives is still a very promising sign about the potential future success of InZoi.
InZoi Studiorecently revealed a 2025 roadmapfor InZoi that details each of the four major updates coming to the game this calendar year. There are plans to add a memory system, swimming and more as the year progresses.

There’s a lot of discussion surrounding whether InZoi will be good enough to challenge the dominance of The Sims in the life simulation genre. This comparison is actively encouraged by InZoi’s developers, such as game director Hyung-Jun Kim who has talked about how InZoi came about in the first place becausehis son asked him to make a competitor to The Sims.
In herpreview of InZoi, our own Meg Pelliccio called it “a worthy contender for the Life Sim throne,” asserting that there’s plenty of content to sink your teeth into in the game’s early access. This is especially heartening given the concern of prospective players that InZoi might turn out to be a hollow experience beneath its photorealistic visuals.

InZoi releases in early access for PC on March 28, with unannounced future release dates for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
