Summary
The road to the originalKingdom Come: Deliverancewas a difficult one. The project almost failed multiple times after Warhorse Studios repeatedly struggled to find investment. Czech billionaire Zdeněk Bakala eventually funded a prototype for the game, but it wasn’t received as well as the team hoped, and, once again, they struggled to land further outside investment. It wasn’t until Warhorse turned to Kickstarter and crowdfunding that the game became a reality.
It wasclaimedthat the original prototype for Kingdom Come: Deliverance was made by a development team that only consisted of 11 people, and it looks like Warhorse has secretly paid homage to them inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Pays Homage To The First Game’s Founding Team
Posted on Reddit in the Kingdom Come: Deliverancesubreddit, thisnew Easter Eggwas discovered by player Mewtwo6271. Found in Southwest Kuttenberg is a cave, complete with 11 skeletons, likely representing each of the first game’s original members.
These skeletons are evidently toiling over the creation of something. They are surrounded by coffee cups and design documents, including hand-drawn pictures, maps, and written texts. Each skeleton looks like it’s suffering in its own unique way, much like the team did as they were trying to get Kingdom Come: Deliverance into the spotlight. It’s a nice, if not slightly morbid, nod to the team who helped create the franchise that is almost certainly set to deliverone of 2025’s best games.

Like its predecessor,Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is laden with fun Easter Eggsand references to other pop culture moments. Elden Ring’sLet Me Solo Her was spotted deceased early on, and references to The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed have already been found. Given how vast the game is, it’s unlikely that these will be the last, either.
