Summary

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2really lets you live the slow and boring life of a medieval peasant. From lugging sacks, to mixing herbs, to blacksmithing, it really captures themundanity of peasant life. That’s great for those who like it, some players love getting lost in alchemy and smithing, as they act as a break from the open world and the story.

However, not everyone likes to slowly pace out their hammer strikes or wait for a concoction to boil adequately. Many Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players love the world, gameplay, and story, but don’t care for the arduous crafting process. However, while smithing may look complicated, one player has demonstrated that it’s actually quite easy if you know the game’s tricks.

Strike While The Iron’s Hot

While the smithing process in the game looks complex and tedious, it seems the game only wants you to think so. There are a lot of steps and practices you can simply skip or gloss over to get the perfect sword.rvl35demonstrated via a video on Reddit how you can forge a weapon without corrying about every step being precise.

In the video, you can see that while smithing a longsword, the player onlyheats up the centre part of the metal. They then proceed tohammer the metal while randomly moving it up and down instead of inch-by-inch as instructed. However, the biggest takeaway from this video is that theydid not flip the sword to hammer the other sideeven once. And yet, they came away with agood quality longsword.

“I realized early on that flipping it did nothing because one time I hit the base of the sword, flipped it, hit the base again, and the game penalized me for striking the same spot too many times,” said rvl35. “That gave away the fact that it doesn’t recognize the flip. I’ve also known for quite a while that the hammering requirements weren’t terribly strict, and I suspected that you might be able to abuse it as badly as I’m doing in the video here but I just hadn’t bothered to test it until now.”
