Summary
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2players are sick and tired of all the abuse and insults that Henry’s noble steed Pebbles get from random NPCs.
When you first start out your adventure in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry is in a much better position than after he and Sir Hans get robbed of their money, their clothes, and their dignity. Those things don’t matter, though, as the biggestthing that’s taken away from Henry is his trusty starting horse, Pebbles.
If you know where to look,Henry and Pebbles can actually be reunited fairly early on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While I’m sure that Henry is glad to be back with his noble steed, the poor grey horse doesn’t get quite the same treatment from NPCs, who will constantly insult her and suggest an upgrade is in order.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Players Love Pebbles, Even If Everyone Else Doesn’t
Henry might be able to just shrug off all the insults and ignore Bohemia’s rude citizens, but the same can’t be said for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s players.Over on the game’s subreddit, many of the top-rated posts over the last week have to do with the unfair treatment that Henry’s beloved horse gets by NPCs.
One such post comes from the excellently-named Redditor GenericReditUserName, who says that they’re “sick and tired” of all the insults Pebbles gets. That sentiment is clearly shared by a lot of fans, as the post has more than 4,000 upvotes as of the time of writing, with many players sharing their experiences with horse hatred so far.
Many of the comments point out the hypocrisy of these NPCs, as none of them actually seem to have horses themselves. In the words of PilotResponsible5165, “Literally, at least I have horse peasant!!!”.
That isn’t the only post on the game’s subreddit complaining about the treatment that Pebbles gets, showing that a lot of players are annoyed by the random hate for a lovely horse. What you might not know, though, is that you can actuallyget a perk from using Pebbles enough called “Good Old Pebbles” that raises her stats considerably.
If you do this, then all of the NPCs who have spent most of their time hating on Pebbles will suddenly start treating her a lot nicer, even if nothing has really changed. It just goes to show how little their comments matter, so don’t let it distract you from riding around on Bohemia’s best nag.
