Summary
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2is a few weeks old now, so talk has naturally turned to exactly what tweaks and changes developer Warhorse Studio is planning to implement, now that fan feedback has been collected. We already know that Warhorse isplanning to change the game’s combat and economy balance, with many complaining it gets too easy, but it alsorecently held a streamto show off other changes coming in the near future.
We’ll go over the smaller changes first, which includes the death of the ‘Hold W’ tutorial that incessantly pops up while you’re on horseback. It’s become a bit of a meme in the community, and a cause of general annoyance for many, but it seems as though Warhorse has taken the hint and is getting rid of it for good.

Another small update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 coming in the near future is the Barber, which will let you change both Henry’s hair and facial hair. There is a surprising amount of variety too, including everything from mullets to handlebar mustaches, and getting a fresh trim will actually boost your Charisma, so there are plenty of reasons to try it out.
Warhorse Shows Off Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Hardcore Mode
Hardcore Henry
During the stream, Warhorse also outlined how Hardcore mode will work too, including a look at all the perks you can choose from. Hardcore mode will, of course, make the game a lot harder, and you’ll be able to choose from a list of debuffs that can make your experience even harder.
For example, there’s a debuff called Bad Back, which will reduce your maximum carry capacity and give you the chance to strain your back when picking something up. There’s another called Somabulant, which will make it so you have to sleep a lot more frequently, and give you the chance to sleepwalk somewhere completely random. In fact, Warhorse says that there will be some places in the game that can only be accessed with Somabulant.

Outside the perks, Hardcore Mode will also completely remove your compass, as well as your position on the map, making it much harder to navigate and get around. Your map won’t even open on your current location, meaning there’s a strong chance you’ll end up stranded. You’ll have to ask NPCs for directions, and the position of the sun and stars, to ensure you don’t get lost.
Warhorse also reveals exactly when all these new additions will be dropping, as it’s explained during the stream that the Barber will release in March, with Hardcore Mode coming a month later in April. That will give everyoneplenty of chances to do everything but the main quest.
