Summary
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2does that thing in sequels where the protagonist loses all their cool loot and forgets how powerful they are. Given that the way the writers did it was creative – booting him off a cliff – Henry went from being the page of Lord Capon to an unskilled medieval peasant with not a Groschen to his name.
Those first few Groschens are extremely hard to come by at the start of the game, so you’re able to’t help but rely on the kindness of others. The old lady Bozhena gets you back in shape after your fall and even hands you a few coins, while the beggar Bara helps you get your bearings after a night in the pillory, and also gives you a few coins. While you can pay the old lady back, players are a bit disappointed that you can’t give alms to the poor.

Henry The Benevolent
Eventually, Henry will lug sacks, smith horseshoes, and kill enough bandits to have a nice bunch of Groschen to his name, and also a good suit of armour and weapons. While walking down the streets of local towns, he may want to return the favour to Bara, or just give alms to the poor, but the game doesn’t let you, and fans are a bit disappointed.
“I’ve tried everything from dropping pouches of individual groschen around beggars and they just ignore it talking about charity being good for your soul,” says a Reddit post by

TheVaultTechnician. “And Henry’s only response is “I feel quite hungry”….. Seriously, this is one of the biggest oversights in an otherwise (mostly) flawless masterpiece IMO.”
While the devs have included a feature where NPCs may pick up items you’ve discarded, they somehow forgot to loop the beggars into this. “Every time I drop food or clothing etc, some other twit walks past and grabs it instead”, said another player, who keeps dropping items for the poor, only to be taken by others.

Perhaps the developers at Warhorse underestimated the generosity of the community and may add in the feature ina future update.
