The discussion regarding the most notable unresolved plotlines in Kingdom Hearts wasstarted by Redditor Mintarion over on the game’s subreddit. To kick things off, Mintarion said that they really want to knowwho was putting the poor Dalmatian puppies in treasure chests across multiple different worlds in the first game.
That’s a good question, and one that’s never been given an official answer by Nomura. Another big question comes from Redditor Haxteal, who questionedhow Pete was able to time-travel in Kingdom Hearts 2 to reach Timeless River. It’s never addressed in-game, leading some to theorise that Pete might have inadvertently used a version of the Power of Waking.
Rharyx pointed out a simple unresolved mystery that’s been bugging me for a while too -what are Demyx and Luxord’s real names?
There are atonof great examples of unexplained plot points within the thread, but one of my favourites comes from Cosmos_Null, who simply says “Sora’s mom”. Outside of one brief cutscene where we hear her call Sora down for dinner,she’s never been brought up again despite everyone eventually returning to the Destiny Islands.
