Summary

Lies of P was definitely one of the bigger surprise packages that 2023 had to offer, as everyone had it down as a cheap Bloodborne knockoff the second it was revealed. However, the game did well to set itself apart, despite its blatant inspirations, and was actuallyone of the best games that came out in 2023, which also includedBaldur’s Gate 3andAlan Wake 2.

Having already confirmed that DLC is in the works, it felt likely that we would be getting another helping of Lies of P at some point soon, especially after it was confirmed thatDLC for the title would be launching in the first three months of 2025. Turns out we’ll have to wait a little longer for it than expected. After making the Lies of P website password-protected shortly beforePlayStation’s latest State of Play showcase, the time felt ripe for a reveal.

Return To Lies Of P This Summer Via Overture

The Guide Awaits

As promised,Lies Of P’s story will continue. Revealed during PlayStation’s latest State Of Play, Lies of P is getting a full DLC expansion titled Overture, which looks like it will feature just as many horrific and intense boss fights, and more interesting people to meet. It won’t be long before we get our hands on it too, as Overture will launch at some point this summer.

That will mean almost two years will have passed by the time Overture arrives, but there’s clearly a lot of new stuff coming to Krat when the DLC drops later this year. Overture takes place following the conclusion of the base game as you follow a mysterious guide, who was shown during the trailer, learning of untold stories and uncovering more of Krat’s mysteries.

With Lies Of P’s Overture DLC now revealed, it’s likely that Neowiz will now be moving most of its staff onto its next title, which it has given us some brief details about. Last year, Neowiz began recruiting level designers and scenario planners for a “survival horror project set in a sci-fi world”, giving us a bit of an idea as to what they’re now working on. It’s a little disappointing it’s not a Lies of P sequel, but I’m still intrigued to see what they can come up with next.
