Summary

NetEase Games is releasing new heroes forMarvel Rivalsat an accelerated pace compared to similar live-service titles, having already released the entirety of The Fantastic Four since 2025 began nearly two months ago. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman were released on January 10 while Human Torch and The Thing were released on February 21. NetEase has stated it plans to release two characters per season.

Now, players are beginning to speculate on which character will be released next. With thousands of Marvel characters available to adapt, predicting who NetEase is going to release next is a near-impossible task. That is, without the help of data miners. The near-constant discovery of unfinished content by data miners has become a trend in live-service titles, and Marvel Rivals is no exception.

Marvel Rivals Angela-1

Fall of Heven

A December data mine uncovered voice lines from Wolverine and Psylocke about their fellow X-Men character Emma Frost. Now,XOXLEAK, a regular repository for Rivals leaks, has revealed data-mined voice lines relating to the little-known Asgardian character Angela (Aldrif Odinsdottir). Angela was originally designed by Todd McFarlane and Neil Gaiman.

The leaked voice lines are spoken by Loki, Rocket Raccoon and Hela. Loki’s lines reference his lack of knowledge of Angela’s existence, as well as a generic line about Angela falling in battle. Rocket Raccoon inquires if Angela brought Thor, and Hela references some of the past conflicts between the two characters.

It’s completely unknown how NetEase will decide to adapt Angela for the game, but the Asgardian has all the abilities you’d expect from a member of her godly race. As the daughter of Odin, Angela’s superhuman powers are even more enhanced than a normal Asgardian. In the comics, Angela dual-wields a sword and a double-edged scimitar. She also uses the ribbons of her outfit to strangle opponents when the situation arises.

Angela joins a long list of characters that have been referenced in the game’s files, but have yet to be added. These include Beast, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Ultron, Valkyrie and more. It’s unknown what class Angela would fall under, but her comic book skillset would probably lend itself best to a Duelist.
