They managed to hit Celestial rank this week, something they admitted they didn’t think was possible, but the cost was dealing damage during what has, until now, been an entirely pacifist run.
The appropriately namedNoDamageRocketfirst started to land on Rivals players' radars when they somehow made it to Grandmaster without dealing any damage at all. Unlike most strategists, they take their role as their team’s healer very seriously, standing back and making sure everyone is topped up with HP so that everyone else can continue to do their thing.
As if making it to Grandmaster without dealing any damage wasn’t impressive enough, NoDamageRocket has now hit Rivals' Celestial rank. However, they might require a name change. While the biggest takeaway is ranking so highly while focusing solely on healing in every single match, making it to Celestial came at a cost. NoDamageRocket is technically now 22DamageRocket after they accidentally hit someone right before they ranked up.

But They Accidentally Dealt Damage For The First Time On Their Way There
Since everyone was asking how it happened, NoDamageRocket has shared a clip, which you can check out below, showing exactly when and where the damage was dealt. Since it’s a competitive match on the way to Celestial, it’s naturally pretty chaotic. However, the streamer knows exactly what happened, noting to their followers that they accidentally hit one of Moon Knight’s ankhs, unintentionally dealing 22 damage to someone on the opposing team in doing so.
NoDamageRocket hasjokingly sent an email to the Marvel Rivals devs, letting them know it was an accident and politely requesting that the 22 damage be scrubbed from the records. It would be amusing if that happens, or if Rocket gets a response, but even if it doesn’t, hitting Celestial while doing almost nothing but healing is an incredible feat.
Hitting Celestial while playing normally is hard enough. I’m still languishing in Bronze this season. Skill issue, I know.
