Summary
Marvel Rivalshas been hitting all the right notes for a lot of reasons. It’s free, it’s fun, and its roster is packed with famous, well-loved characters. The comic book-inspired designs of those characters have been a hit with Rivals players too, some of whom have already been hard at work bringing elements of the hero shooter to life.
It was only a matter of time untilMarvelfans began to cosplay as Marvel characters the way they look in Rivals, and one very talented YouTuber has already managed to make an unbelievable replica of Captain America’s shield. The very same shield Rivals Cap' runs into you with moments after he yells “Assemble!” and performs his ult.

YouTuber PropWayshareda work in progress of their Captain America Shieldon Jul 06, 2025, and a little more than a month later, their project is complete. Even though the premise is the same, the Rivals version of Cap’s shield is quite a bit more detailed, and more complex, than the one used in the MCU.

Rather than a simple circle with ever-decreasing circles in red, white, and blue until you get to the star in the middle, the Rivals version of the shield is layered, has more texture, and most important of all, glows blue around its edge.PropWay shared an updatetwo weeks ago showing LEDs had been added to the shield’s rim, noting advice from followers that clear plastic around its edge might make it look like the glowing blue energy Cap’s shield has in Rivals.
PropWay thanked Marvel Rivals for partnering with them in their original Cap' Shield post, confirming that the design is good enough to have received a seal of approval from the virtual designers of Captain America and his Rivals shield.

While this probably isn’t going to be something you may buy yourself, PropWay has promised to share a tutorial on YouTube soon showing how they made the shield. That means, if you have the talent and the patience, you’ll soon be able to make a Rivals Cap' shield of your own.
With an incredible player retention rate for a live service game, Marvel Rivals isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Its devs have promised a new hero every month and a halftoo. Between that and the continuous flow of new skins being added to the game, more projects like PropWay’s that bring elements of the game to life will almost certainly emerge throughout 2025.
