Summary
“I am ready to put on a show!” and “Us against the world!” are quite possibly two of the most frustrating voice lines you can hear inMarvel Rivalsright now. Sure, Strategist ults might not inspire fear like Duelists, but it does pretty much guarantee that you can’t do anything for the next ten or so seconds, since the enemy team is pumped with healing.
Couple those ults with the very similar area-of-effect buffs thatInvisible WomanandMantiscan deal in theirs, and a clear pattern is emerging. It’s enough to have fans begging for a bit of ultimate variety in the Strategist lineup, or at least some nerfs forLuna Snow’s 12-second ult.

But some say they’re needed to counter OP Duelist ults
Reddit user MattDamnit unfavourably compares Luna, Mantis, and Cloak and Dagger’s ultimates to Zenyatta’s fromOverwatch 2.
“Luna/Cloak/Mantis literally just make your team invincible for a short amount of time that only can be killed by Moon Knight ult or something similar,” they write. “Just seems like every game there is a solid minute of staggered ults from these characters.”

By this, they mean that they can make a team near-impossible to kill for a time unless you use some very specific counters. For instance, Luna’s ult can only be reliably interrupted by dealing a whole lot of damage very quickly, usually by using Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch, or Iron Man’s ult, forcing Duelists to use their most powerful abilities.
Even if you navigate that, you might also be dealing with Invisible Woman’s ult. While this doesn’t make anyone invincible, it does give the team a huge buff if they stand in the force field she’s created, while debuffing enemies who walk inside.

However, as some highlight, overpowered ults aren’t exclusive toStrategistcharacters. “As long as DPS ults are also oppressive as fck, healer ults are going to [be] oppressive as fck too,” says phoenixmusicman. “If you nerf current strat ults too much then DPS reign supreme.”
So, instead of nerfs, some suggest reworking ults instead. DarwinDa5 suggests having Luna only able to heal for six seconds of her 12-second ult, forcing her to switch to damage boost for the remainder. But in general, players are just hoping the next Strategist doesn’t get another area of affect healing ult.

We’ll have to see if the next season makes changes to the roster based on this feedback. In the meantime, players are also looking for some map variety.
