In other words, when people meme that Doritos are gamer food, there is good backing behind that. And that evidence isn’t going away anytime soon, as Doritos will now be partneringwith the upcoming Minecraft Movie. The partnership will see two new flavors released, including a Creeper-based flavor, so if you’ve ever wondered what a Creeper tastes like, then now is your chance.
Doritos Will Be Going Square For Minecraft
As first spotted by Eurogamer, the two new flavors will be Creeper Vinegar and Ghast BBQ. The first, of course, is based on Minecraft’s Creepers, while the second is based on the Ghast characters.
The Creeper variant is supposed to have a “zesty, explosive flavour,” while the Ghast variety is “sweet and tangy.” And if that wasn’t enough, the iconic triangles will become squares. There’s just one catch: only 100 bags of square-shaped Doritos will be made. The good news is if you happen to find one, then you can win up to $10K.
To this point,the Minecraft Movie has been anything but beloved.The April live-action flick has been the subject of some serious hate from fans,with one fan even going as far as to recreate the trailer in-game to show the missed opportunity. That said, even if the movie flops, these chips do sound pretty dang good. Not a bad consolation prize.
