Summary
Monster Hunter Wildshas enjoyed a record-breaking start to life. It quickly netted fifth place in Steam’s highest concurrent player count charts, withalmost 1.4 million players jumping in around launch. Capcom also just announced thatthe game had sold over eight million copies in just three days, becoming the fastest-selling title in the company’s storied history.
Despite some glaring issues on PC, which caused it tolaunch with “Mixed” reviews on Steam,Monster Hunter Wilds has been lauded by critics, includingscoring a 4.5/5 from us here at TheGamer.

Bizarrely, these glowing reviews have meant that both Monster Hunter Wilds andMonster Hunter Worldhave picked up the exact same review scores across all platforms on Metacritic.
Monster Hunter Wilds And Monster Hunter Worlds Receive Exactly The Same Reviews
On Metacritic, both Monster Hunter WildsandMonster Hunter Worlds sit with a score of 90. There’s nothing strange about that; plenty of games score a 90 on the aggregation platform. However, in a strange coincidence, when you drill down into the platform-specific review scores, both Wilds and World are completely parallel.
The two games have both scored a 90 on thePlayStation 5andXbox platforms, with PC falling a little behind, getting an 88 from both. It’s a weird coincidence, but these review scores are nothing if not a sign of the golden era of Capcom that we’re in and the quality of games the company has been putting out for the last few years.

It’s understandable that the PC review score for Wilds is a little lower than its PlayStation and Xbox counterparts, given the issues. Players have theorized that these problemshave come from a typo in the codeand havebegun to use mods to fix themthemselves.
