Summary
Despite performance and visual issueson PC,Monster Hunter Wildsskyrocketed to the top of Steam charts, reachingone million concurrent players in just about six hours since launch. It is effectively the biggest game Capcom has ever put out. The devs are busy working on optimizing the game, but the numbers speak for themselves.
Other than the textures, there are a few issues that long-time fans have with the latest entry. For instance, players aren’t impressed with the cooking mechanic, especially as compared to that of MH World. It was so adored in the previous games thatplayers actually went to say goodbye to their favourite chefs. Another strange issue is the existence of Wyvern Milk.

How Do You Even Acquire Wyvern Milk?
At some point in the story, you’ll come across the term ‘Wyvern Milk’. For a game that requires you to cut off bits of monsters and harvest them into weapons, you may startwondering what ungodly act you’ll have to commit in order to acquire this item. In fact, a number of players were bewildered that such thing even exists.
Over on the Monster Hunter subreddit, a post was created in reaction to Wyvern Milk, and the artwork captured most players' reactions quite well. “Just got to this part, can’t wait to grind Rathalos for his milk,” joked one of the comments.

Thankfully, Wyvern Milk is not what its name suggests. To avoid spoilers, I’ll just say that it’s a type of energy that you’ll learn about in the game. The name, however, is the result of an unfortunate localization choice.
As another comment explained, “The Japanese version is IIRC ‘Ryuunyuu’. Milk is ‘gyuunyuu’, as in ‘cow milk’. Ryuu = Dragon. So… yeah, dragon/wyvern milk is the closest translation.” It is a pun in Japanese, but doesn’t really translate too well. It was just a weird choice of words from the localization team. So, don’t worry, the handler isn’t going to task you with collecting any Wyvern Milk.

As for Monster Hunter Wilds' poor performance, it seems some fans have narrowed itdown to a typo in the game’s code. However, fixing this typo by themselves, led to their PC overheating, so it’s best not to try and fix it yourself.
