Summary

There’s no denying thatMonster Hunter Wildshas been the biggest launch of the year so far. Only today Capcom announced thatthe game has now sold over ten million copies since it launchedon February 28. To add to that,Title Update 1will be introducing a new monster, powering up another, and setting up the Grand Hub.

However, there’s also no denying that the series is extremely intimidating for new players who aren’t aware of the robust systems and features. The menu options, UI, and UX would leave a lot of newbies confused. In fact, even the voice actor for Gemma admitted that she was struggling with all the menus. Thankfully, it looks like the UI/UX will be improved.

As a thank you for the ten million copies sold, Monster Hunter Wilds directorYuya Tokuda wrote a letter to the communityto show his appreciation, as well as showcase what is in store for the game’s future. He touched a bit upon Title Update 1 along with some balancing changes for Mantles and the Hammer.

However, what fans will be most pleased to hear is that Capcom is looking at streamlining the overall UI/UX of the game. “Although some of these improvements are included in the above adjustments, we will make it easier to access the information you need through UI/UX improvements in future updates,” said Tokuda.

“The team also will continue to make additional adjustments and improvements to further enhance the overall feel of the game to curate an even smoother gameplay experience, including but not limited to the ease of restocking items, checking skill information, participating in multiplayer quests and using the Seikret; and camera behaviour during hunts.”

There have been plenty ofcomplaints about the matchmaking process and how Capcom just refuses to make it easy. Thecamera has also been a problem, randomly moving and making it hard to focus on a particular part of a monster. These changes are exactly what the community has been asking for, so it’s good to see that the team is listening.
