Summary
After five years ofrelentless searching, teasing from Ed Boon, and speculation,Mortal Kombat 1has finally added thesecret pink ninja, Floyd.
Nobody is sure yet how to trigger an encounter with them, but reputable Mortal Kombat 1leaker thethinymanaged to find them after completing “a bunch of Floyd challenges”. As with any fighting game secret, however, there are already playground rumours circulating, with some even claiming that you need to complete a double flawless in Klassic towers to face Floyd, which has already been disproven.

When they finally appear, they have an incredible intro befitting a secret character. One by one, every palette swap ninja appears in flashing beams of light, until finally the pink ninja steps forward, ready to beat some humility into you.
Right before the fight begins, a unique pop-up saying “YOU FOUND FLOYD” appears on screen in rainbow lettering.
Given that they’re an amalgamation ofeveryninja in the game (and seemingly even Raiden), they’re a difficult fight, to say the least. But if you manage to beat this new, secret ninja, you’ll take home a unique reward.
Beating Floyd Unlocks A New Stage
According to Reddit user Old_Ant_9418, beating Floyd unlocks a brand-new stage, the field from the first announcement trailer.
Funnily, a few online players who were thrown onto the stage without warning thought that they were playing against hackers. In reality, their opponent had simply found Floyd, flexing on them with their swanky new secret unlock.
While the community hasn’t yet nailed down what triggers the fight, dataminers have found Floyd’s assets in the files. Interestingly, they appear to be a kameo skin for Scorpion and Sub-Zero. A literal palette swap.
They aren’t playable right now, and likely won’t ever be, given that they reuse a slew of different movesets old and new, but using MKHook, players (like YouTuber SHAAR, embedded above) have been able to try them out for themselves.
