Monster Hunter Wilds,as I predicted just a few months ago, is already thebiggest game of the year. Deservedly so, considering it builds on the foundations ofWorldandRiseto create an experience that is broad, ambitious, and strikes an effective balance between both casual and hardcore audiences. I’m only a few hours into it right now, but the satisfaction of hunting down monsters to make jumpers out of their carcasses feels as good as it always has....

She wields a crossbow and is described as being one of the most difficult characters to play in the game....

Summary Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Shining Revelry booster pack is available in-game starting today, adding more than 100 new cards to collect. Not only do the cards cover all of Pocket’s pre-existing rarity levels, but the expansion is the first in the game to bring some of its own. Since the focus of Shining Revelry is shiny Pokemon, the two new rarities have been applied to them. As far as I can tell, all of the shiny Pokemon cards in Shining Revelry have one of the two new rarities attached....

Summary Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’strading functionis still not in a good place. While DeNA is starting to hand out trade tokens a little more liberally, ultimately, the cost to trade four-diamond and one-star rarity cards is still very, very high and it effectively stops many casual players from making full use of the feature. While DeNAhas promised it is looking into ways to improve trading, the feature has seen no real changes since it launched....

Summary There are a lot ofPokemonplushes out there and most of them are adorable - that’s kind of the point. However,the Sweet Support line revealed in 2024might be the most adorable Pokemon plushes to date. A little more than a year later, Pokemon’s heartbreaking plush range is about to double in size. Prismatic Evolutionslaunched last Friday, and over the weekend all my social media feeds (minus the 12 hours when TikTok was offline) have been filled with videos of people acting like animals at department stores. Despite Pokemon’s announcement that more stock is coming soon, mobs lined up at Costco, Walmart, and Target, bum-rushed the TCG shelves, and assaulted each other over shiny cardboard. It’s heinous. I truly believe these people represent humanity at its worst, and if I thought they werePokemonfans, I’d be ashamed today to call myself one too....
