Summary

Pokemonhad a very busy 2024 when it comes to Funko Pops and it has already kicked off 2025 in much the same way. It closed out last yearby revealing three more Pokemon Pop debutantsfor 2025, and now it has added two more.Dratini and Fidoughwill join Pokemon’s Funko Pop collection, possibly as soon as next week.

The first images of Funko Pop Fidough and Funko Pop Dratini have been shared by multiple accounts on Twitter,Funko Pop Newsamong them. Dratini’s figure is slightly coiled with its tail flicked up behind it, and Fidough is on all fours. Both, in typical Funko Pop fashion, have beady black eyes, although in this case, those eyes aren’t all that far from what they look like in the Pokemon’s original designs.

Unlike the Pokemon games which tend to take things one generation at a time, its Funko Pops are all over the place. There rarely appears to be any method to which Pokemon get Funko Pops next, hence it taking so long for Dratini to finally get its own figure. A long time coming for the Dragon-type, but not so much for Fidough who is a far fresher addition to the Pokemon universe.

Introducing Dratini And Fidough’s First Funko Pops

A Dragon And A Dough Dog

The doughy little pup was introduced to the Pokemon universe viaScarlet & Violetwhich, I believe, makes it the first ‘mon from Paldea to be turned into a Funko Pop outside of its starters. I’m sure it was a tough decision for Pokemon and Funko when having to choose which of Paldea’s adorable new additions got the Funko Pop treatment first, Lechonk or Fidough. I love the Paldean pig, but I think Fidough was the right call.

It’s not clear when these two new Pops will be available. That they have been revealed before the end of the week suggests their listings might start to appear before the weekend. However, Funko tends to add news listings on Wednesdays and Dratini and Fidough have missed that window. At worst, pre-orders for these Pops won’t be available until the middle of next week.

Fidough and Dratini join Gengar, Fuecoco, and Zorua. The Pokemon Pop trio was revealed at the end of 2024 and pre-orders are still open ahead of their arrivals on February 3. It’s been a long wait for a Gengar Pop and unfortunately, its arrival hasn’t gone down well. Many fans think Funko changed too much about Gengar for its Funko Pop design, taking away a lot of what makes the Ghost-type one of Pokemon’s most popular creations.
