Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Premium Pass Subscribers Will Get A Free Darkrai ex
While this methoddoesn’t always go down particularly well, especially for those who don’t battle, a free version of Darkrai ex might be just the tonic for those who are looking to build a competitive deck.
Darkrai ex has consistently beenone of the most successful deck archetypessince the launch of Space-Time Smackdown last month, takingseven of the top eight spots at one of the expansion’s early events,
But, while Darkrai ex IS the current meta, things look like they’re about to drastically change with the imminent release of the A2a expansion, whichis rumored to be called Triumphant Light. The set will seemingly be focused around the God Pokemon, Arceus.
The Pokemon features as the expansion’s pack art and is also getting at least one card, an Arceus ex, within the set. It’s this card that is likely to wreak havoc against Darkrai ex.
A basic Pokemon, Arceus ex can’t be affected by any Special Condition thanks to its Fabled Luster Ability. Its Ultimate Force attack is also beastly, dealing a potential 160 damage from just three colorless energy.
This alone makes the inclusion of Darkrai ex as March’s Premium Pass promo a bit of an odd choice, but a free card is a free card.
